Getting handy at home

Hello! This week, I’m writing this blog from upstairs in our new home, and as I look out of the window I can see a big winter woodland and a large expanse of bright sky. This is the first time I’ve lived anywhere with a view like this in about 20 years! It feels great to be further into the countryside.

In my blog this week, I’d like to share some pictures of the new house (it’s actually really old, but new for us) and my new fashion find from MarlaWynne.

Lets start off first though with a little baby Beau update. He is more of a toddler now at 16-months-old and has just started nursery for a few hours at a time. He is such a sociable little fella and we felt with all that’s going on at the moment in the world, he is missing that interaction with other little ones.

Here is a picture of him on his first morning, looking a little suspicious. There were initially some big tears to be sure, but I was fine once he reassured me that I’d be picking him up again in a few short hours! Jokes aside, he had a great time and settled fairly quickly.

Once I got home, I continued doing some more house stuff, which seems endless. I think I still have at least another 25 boxes to unpack! It’s knowing where to put everything that’s my challenge right now. We have had a lot of fun putting up our pictures and making the rooms come to life. The best tool I have been using for this is the Takker. Oh my word, this makes life easy when it comes to hanging a photo, picture, mirror or clock. It’s a 59-piece set and comes supplied with four picture hooks, four canvas hangers and two medium multi-purpose hooks, allowing you to easily hang objects on walls, doors, fencing and garden sheds! Each Takk fixes into the wall at just 12mm deep, and can carry up to 12kg when used with the multi-purpose hook.

Here is a another picture done with the Takker, and below some beautiful pieces from our home range at QVC. The candle is from Neom and the lamp is from Amanda Holden’s collection, Bundleberry. I find her designs to be so well-made and I love her contemporary spins on classic designs.

Let’s move onto fashion, as I’m keen to share some pictures and information on the new WynneLayers Today’s Special Value coming up on Friday 22nd January. This is a ‘soft’ V-neck sweater with a front seam and pockets, and comes in Black, Sea Blue, Light Heather Grey, Oatmeal and Rouge, which is the one I’m wearing, in sizes XS to 3XL. It’s item number 187614 and do check the website for colours and sizes.

With Marla’s ranges, they do tend to go quickly as they are so popular – so if you like one, snap it up quickly. Plus, you will always get your 60 Day Money-Back Guarantee, which means you can wash and wear it and still return it if you don’t love it.

I’ve decided to style mine with Joules girlfriend jeans and Vionic loafers. Top tip: look out for the new Moda in Pelle TSV this Thursday 28th January. They’ve done  a fabulous design of suede and leather loafers coming in a range of very trend-led 2021 colours. I’ve gone bold and picked the green suede. Check them out online – they’ll be item number 188100.

I’ve also worn it with this DuJour pleather skirt with little high tops.

Did you also know that we are still running our Great QVC prize giveaway? Here are all the details. This is the first time QVC have ever done something like this. It’s an opportunity to win some incredible prices every day!

Here’s what to do: place your order with QVC and then add you order number here. Next, you’ll be able to spin a virtual wheel with 1000’s of prices to win, including big names like Lulu Guinness, Lola Rose, Bose and so many more. You can enter three times a day with three separate order numbers. So far over 600 prizes have been won. You will also automatically be entered into a grand prize draw to win £10,000! How exciting is that? The winner will be selected at random on 27th January 2021. Good luck and have fun!

I just want to share one more thing, and this the Big Deal from Elemis. This incredible set includes one of my Elemis faves – the Peptide4 Plumping Pillow Facial. In a supersized edition currently only available at QVC, this lightweight, cooling gel mask  works overnight to rehydrate your skin for a youthful-looking complexion by morning. I love this and even on my tired and often dehydrated skin, I can see a difference.

In my next blog, I’m going to share more of my recent beauty finds. Until then take care of yourselves and stay safe.

Much love.

Eilidh
