Renowned designers and fashion fun this Friday

This week’s blog is going to be dedicated to fashion. We have a fantastic 24 hour fashion event this Friday 10th July with some really exciting shows bursting with styles to inspire you and looks that I think you’ll love – plus lots of Easy Pay options. I also have a few pics of my very own little fashionista, Beau Fox, sporting his first pair of jeans and sunglasses, which he finds hilarious every time he puts them on.

On Friday, we have so many shows running all-day-long for you to choose from, including some of your favourite labels and big designer names such as Wuli:Luu by Gok Wan, who I’ll be with at 2pm. Lulu Guiness will be here at 7pm with Miceal, Skechers too with my friend Vonda Barnes, and of course we will have healthy amount of Nina Leonard with my other lovely friend Jacqui Joseph, who will be bringing us the new Today’s Special Value. Jacqui really knows her fashion and how to style. In fact, she is a bit of a style icon for me. The TSV will be an elbow-length sleeve printed and solid godet midi dress (look out for item number 185046). I imagine it will be very popular! Tune in to our 1pm show to hear more style tips from Jacqui at the top of our Frank Usher hour, which will continue with lovely Miranda Holden.

In my last blog, I mentioned our wonderful new stylist Stine. She has been putting together some great looks for us, and for this Friday, she has put together this outfit for me.

The top is from WynneLayers: 186056.

The trousers are Kim & Co: 183302.

I’ve added some more options that would work with this and give the outfit a different vibe. By adding the Ruth Langford’s beautiful blazer, it makes this more of a power dress and is certainly fit for a much more formal occasion.

I’ve also added a fedora-style hat to make it a little more casual. I always think this look has a sense of New York about it. Check out Pia Rossini for hats.

If you like the blazer look, then here is another one of my new favourites from Rino & Pelle.

There are two colours: the Bright Yellow and Spa Blue. Yellow is very much still in fashion this year and you may be surprised at how easy it is to wear. I love wearing it with the Joules jeans I have on here, both in indigo. There are lots of shades to choose from right here, and I added my new Sam Edelman trainers.

In this shot, I’ve teamed it with a simple and stylish white T-shirt from Wuli:Luu by Gok Wan. This style of slightly over-sized with a gold-buttoned, double-breasted front looks super cool and works for all different shapes. Don’t be afraid to wear double-breasted jackets if you’re fuller on top. Gok’s tip is to simply leave the buttons undone. I like that the shoulder pads add extra strength to the look and therefore make you feel a bit more confident and taller.

I am going to round up this week’s blog with a link to our Big Deals (click the link to discover them.) But before I go, may I introduce you to the new cool kid on the block.

This little boy got new jeans, sunglasses and his two top teeth this week! There are not enough words to say how much I adore my son.

He is brilliantly funny and if I ignore the rather painful nipping stage he’s going through, he is very affectionate and sweet-natured.

I hope you can tune into my shows this week. I’ll be on air on Thursday at 5pm with Easyio yoghurt and 6pm with Tempur, plus the Friday 1pm Frank Usher and 2pm Wuli:Luu by Gok Wan. Please tweet me during the shows with any questions you would like me to ask @eilidhnairntv and don’t forget to check my Instagram page too for fashion updates.

Take the very best care and thank you for stopping to read my blog this week.

Lots of love,

Eilidh

  1. Looking good! I am working tomorrow morning but hope to tune in sometime between walking my dog and dodging the rain. Little boy looks very happy in the photos.
