You can bank on some great deals this year!

It’s that time again for the August Bank Holiday event! I love our event weekends as they are always packed full of fun shows, great experts and plenty of goodies to pick up not to mention a few nice deals.

The event runs from Friday 27th – Monday 30th August. To give you an idea of what shows you can expect we have all bases covered. On Friday you can expect lots of great fashion from major names like Moda in Pelle, Joules and Kim & Co plus our Fashion on Friday show at 5pm with Kathryn Goldsmith. If you’ve never tried one of Kim’s jumpsuits then check out her Jersey short sleeve jumpsuits  it comes in 16 different colours including block colours and prints and has over 80 5-star reviews! I have about five of these and have owned them for years. They are so flattering and always look great. If you love shoes, then tune in at 7pm for my Rieker footwear show. Rieker are all about excellent quality and diverse shoes to suit every occasion. Especially good for those who like to stride out in style.

We also have some wonderful food and cooking shows including the Todays Special Value on the Friday from Le Creuset. A set of three Toughened non-stick cookware set with pan protectors Item number 813015.

Cooking is a big part of our life at home as you can imagine, and I must say that the best cooking equipment I’ve ever bought is from QVC. I love my KitchenAid appliances and Lock & Lock storage containers plus the Kuhn Rikon  knives are seriously good.

Recently I made one of my favourite chicken, leek and bacon pie served with new potatoes and green beans. What surprises me about this photo is the fact we have the wood-burning stove on in July?!

For desert that day we ate chocolate cake made by myself and my little helper. I must admit a lot of that topping made it into our mouths and not the cake.

Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th August are packed full of gardening and home appliance shows. With big names such as Shark (Cordless vacuum – Saturday’s Todays Special Value 719866) Julien MacDonald with the ever popular Lotus flower candle holders. Alison Cork too with her stunning design and interior inspirations. You have to be quick though for her velvet storage stools coming in around five different colours and 60 5-star reviews!

I am especially excited about my shows with gardening expert Mark Lane. I have two, two-hour long shows at 9am on Sunday 29th and 10am on Monday 30th with Mark. If you haven’t had a chance to watch any of his shows, I highly recommend it. Mark has been on the gardening scene for many years and has gained recognition as first class landscape gardener and as one of the BBC’s gardening presenters. I love working with him as he brings gardening to life in a way that we can all understand, whether you are a bit of a novice like me or a well-seasoned expert. Throughout the shows look out for our other regular names such as Richard Jackson with his Root Booster and Flower Power, and The Grumpy Gardener‘s multi-functional 3-in-1 garden tool will be on too.

At home we love to garden as much as possible and involve Beau. Here are a few pics from our garden where we’ve been growing tomatoes, strawberries and mint. We call Beau the garden pixie as he goes in and munches all the strawberries before anyone else gets a look in! Its great fun to potter together and if you ask him what flowers we have he will proudly say Holly Hock, Dahlias and Lupins.

I really hope you can join me over the event and please always feel free to contact me during the shows. We love to hear your favourite buys and see pics of your gardens in bloom.

You can contact me on Twitter @eilidhnairnTV or through the QVC WhatsApp QR code (on screen throughout the shows). You can click on the above link where it says QR code, and it’ll take

you to the page at www.qvcuk.com I love hearing from you all.

Until then take the very best of care of each other and yourselves.
