Hello,
OK, who’s stolen summer? After that wonderful heatwave we had a few weeks ago it’s all a little bit dull now, isn’t it? Never mind – I’m keeping myself cheerful and positive by making some plans for the weeks ahead. Work is busy as always, the paperback of my new book The Happy Family is about to come out this week (and will be in supermarkets again for just the second time in my writing career, which is very exciting!), and I’m even going to be doing a little bit of travelling, with plans for a few days away in the New Forest.
I’ve also finally been able to book a trip to Ireland to see my mum and family. I’m going over in September and I absolutely can’t wait! By then it will be two years since I’ve seen any of them, which is the longest time in our lives that we have been apart. I’m keeping everything crossed that nothing goes wrong before then and that the trip can go ahead.
I’m still running a lot too in the build up to a charity run I’m doing in October, and although I have a LOT of running gear already I was so excited to see that Skechers Apparel has now launched at QVC. This is gorgeous gear to run in, exercise in or just lounge in. It’s so comfortable and so stylish, so I was very happy to be asked to try some of it out – see the photos! And before I go, another fashion find to mention. The latest Today’s Special Value offer from Kim & Co will be on air this Tuesday night and all day Wednesday, the 17th/18th of August. It’s the perfect transitional piece as we head into autumn – a fine sweater knit longline cardigan. This is a new fabric for the brand, very lightweight with a great drape and a soft handle. I got your book yesterday afternoon (Thursday) and finished it Friday morning.I couldn’t put it down.I am hoping that you might continue with the same Characters in your next book,maybe a Trilogy? I would recommend all your books.

Loved reading your blog again and still love you and Ruth presenting together, you two are a Tonic, I have ordered Ruth’s star tee shirt and am hoping the length will be okay otherwise I have a friend who is good with a sewing machine, have enjoyed the fashion event that has been going on the last two days, I am going to get your book in paperback and I am sure I will love it, so excited for you that you are finally going to get to see your family( fingers crossed for you) take care and have a lovely rest of the summer. love Jean xx

Hi Jackie, I am hooked on your books they are a great read I am now going back to Cora Baxter books I picked her up in a more resent book, so I am now going to find out want and who pushed Jeannette Kendrick or did she fall,!! I doubt very much that she fell, Keep writing Jackie great books.
