The countdown commences!

Hi all,

I’m finally feeling festive! It’s taken a while this year, but with only a couple of weeks to go now until Christmas it’s finally grabbed me, yay! The tree is up at home, the presents are (mostly) bought and wrapped, and plans are underway for a quiet but nice festive few days.

I’ve even been able to take a short break from writing (which I spend a lot of time doing when I’m not at QVC!) for a few weeks as the deadline for my next book was the first of December, so that’s now gone off to my editor. It’s called The Happy Family, it’s another psychological thriller, and it will be out next summer.

That’s freed up more running time (my other great love, as lots of you will know) so I managed to squeeze in another half marathon at the weekend, this time at a real event! It was so nice to run with other people again, albeit at a social distance, and the organisers did an amazing job of making it Covid-safe. It’s a very different experience running a race where you have your temperature taken at the start line, and everyone starts in tiny, spaced out groups at intervals several minutes apart, but just being able to run at an event again was so wonderful.

QVC Presenter Jackie tries out the Dyson Corrale

QVC Presenter Jackie Kabler road-tests the brilliant Dyson Corrale hair straightener.

If you’re still Christmas shopping, I also just wanted to share a couple of things with you which might be of interest. As most of my holidays and trips for 2020 were cancelled, I treated myself to the Dyson Corrale hair straightener earlier this year and honestly, it’s joined my other Dyson hair tools as one of my very favourite things I’ve ever bought from QVC. It works amazingly well as both a straightener and a styler, and I love using it to add waves and body to my hair. I’m not the best at doing hair and makeup demos but here’s a quick video of me styling my hair with it at home the other day. It’s just been put onto FIVE interest-free instalments too, just in time for Christmas…

And one more quick video for you! The big pre-Christmas offer from Liz Earle launches on Saturday night at 9pm but you can get ahead and order it HERE now. Here’s a sneaky peek at what’s in the beautiful box – it’s a scent, face, hand and body gift collection that would make any Liz Earle fan very happy indeed.

I’ll be squeezing in another couple of blogs before Christmas so I’ll speak to you again next week!

  1. Merry Christmas Jackie, your tree looks beautiful. I have enjoyed watching QVC as I usually do but it has been very helpful throughout this year!! I am still staying in due to my heart condition for a while longer yet, I have been in since March. I have particularly enjoyed the laughs you share with Ruth. I sent a message to you a while ago about your book ‘The Perfect Couple’ as I live in Clifton, thanks for your reply and I loved the book. I am looking forward to reading the new book when released next year. Sending you many Christmas and Happy New Year Wishes – Love Kate x

    1. Hi Kate
I’m glad you’re keeping safe but it must have been a tough year and I’m so glad QVC has helped in some small way. And how lovely to live in Clifton! Happy Christmas to you and I hope 2021 is a better year for all of us.
      Love Jackie xx

  2. Your tree looks FAB Jackie! Is it real or artificial as I am having great difficulty finding a real tree in my area…. 2 out of my 3 “go to” places are not doing them at all this year!! 😱 I am trying the 3rd place shortly but I could be out of luck if no joy there either. Just so typical of 2020! 🙄 I am also loving the look of your chandelier too! Very cool

    1. Ahhh thanks Eileen! The tree is an artificial one I got at QVC last year, prelit too so no messing about with tangled Christmas lights! Hope you find a tree and happy Christmas!
      Love Jackie xx

    1. Thanks Jane! I felt quite sad taking it down and packing it away yesterday! The sparkle was all quite comforting this year and it seems rather bleak without it. Anyway – happy new year!
      Jx
