Wandering in Wales and getting Cozee…

Hello,

I’m writing this while away in Wales for a few days, a trip which I’d been worried might have to be cancelled due to the increased restrictions and local lockdowns but which luckily has been fine. I suspect we won’t be going very far for a long time after this so we’ve been making the most of it, albeit in a very sensible and socially distant way!

We had decided to see the “three c’s” while we were away (city/coast/country) so we started off in Cardiff where we had dinner with a friend who lives there, and had a lovely (if wet) time discovering the Cardiff Bay Trail, a marked 10km route which takes you around Cardiff Bay and Penarth. My hubby cycles and I run so we did it at the same time but separately, if you know what I mean! I love sculpture so was delighted to find some stunning pieces on the route too (see photos).

Then we headed off to Saundersfoot on the south Pembrokeshire coast. I covered a news story there many years ago when I was a reporter for GMTV and had always intended to go back, and it was lovely. We stayed at the top of the hill overlooking the beach and were lucky enough to have a fabulous view. I grew up quite close to the sea in Ireland and I really love being by the water – there’s something so therapeutic about it. On the way to Saundersfoot we also stopped off at Laugharne to see Dylan Thomas’s grave; I’ve always found his poem “Do not go gentle into that good night” so moving.

Next we’re off to the countryside for a couple of days before we head back… more on that in my next blog! The weather has definitely turned now and when we get home I’ll be getting the Cozee Home fleece bedding back on the bed – as some of you will know I’m rather a big fan of this range, and I’m quite pleased therefore that there’s a Today’s Special Value offer coming up on Tuesday 29th.

This time it’s a textured, crushed velvet four-piece duvet set, which just looks so luxurious. We’ll have a choice of five colours – Silver, Shiraz Wine, Vintage Rose, Juniper and (the one I have my eye on for our blue and yellow bedroom) Midnight Blue. Honestly, if you get cold at night and haven’t tried Cozee Home yet, I can’t recommend it enough. We won’t sleep in anything else in the winter months and I love how it looks too.

Right, back to my holiday… see you soon!

Love Jackie x
