I’ve often said that this time of year is my favourite couple of months for fashion, and funnily enough most of our fashion stylists seem to agree.
You can really have fun with layering and accessorising, without the constraints of extreme temperatures to contend with. So when our fashion day events come around it becomes even more exciting, and it’s great to be able to mix things up a bit.
There’s certainly nothing wrong with taking a classic summer item and warming it up a bit to change the look, like denim shorts with some funky patterned tights and boots maybe, or a chunky knit sweater over a summer dress.
Now I’ve become quite a denim jacket fan, although I’m still not sure how I feel about double denim, as fashionable as it’s meant to be. I wear jeans a lot, so I feel I’m missing a trick. However, Denim & Co. have got a stunning jacket Today’s Special Value coming up next week, especially for Fashion Day events on Monday and Tuesday.
The TSV is a denim jacket-style, but fashioned in a gorgeous mid-weight velveteen fabric, so instantly upscaling a casual look and perfect for jeans without doubling up on your denim! 185525 comes in four colours, and is cut beautifully to flatter any figure – and it’s at a great price too!
I’ve teamed it up with this bestselling MarlaWynne dress, which actually comes in six colours and I’ve topped off the look with some glossy and glamorous brogue-style loafers from Rieker, bringing me bang up to date in the fashion stakes, even if I do say so myself!
My favourite long necklace, the ball necklace from MarlaWynne is the perfect compliment. I wear this necklace so much as it just seems to go with everything, and the necklace is actually back in stock at the moment if you fancy grabbing one.
So join us for the Big Fashion event next week and let’s bring in the style!
