Hello everyone and happy December!
Is your tree up yet? We bought ours the other day but I’ve not had a chance to decorate it yet. I LOVE Christmas, and having a real tree in the house is one of my favourite parts. Monty is pretty good and ignores it but I have to make sure the posh baubles are all near the top because his tail tends to knock the ones of the lower branches! What’s your favourite part of Christmas time?
Now, this blog is dedicated to all things beauty, because we have some really exciting deals and launches coming up, including a full Beauty Day on Sunday 8th December.
So let’s start there with a sneak peek of the Today’s Special Value for that day from Tarte. I was so excited when I saw this. You will get a Shape Tape Concealer and quickie sponge, which is great because I would never use another concealer again – it is so, so good. If you’ve not tried it before you simply have to – I use the shade Fair… obviously! BUT the real excitement is what comes with it: all wrapped up in a sparkly pink box, you get a set of four mini palettes, each with five eyeshadows and a blusher/highlighter.
If you pull out the drawer on the box it comes with a magnetic case that you can put one of the small palettes in to take with you… a really handy idea so you can take whatever shades you’ve used that day.
You get a mini mascara and lip gloss to try too. Because it’s a Today’s Special Value, the price is fantastic and I’ve enjoyed having a play with the different colours, including some wonderful metallic shades.
Something else I’m excited about for Beauty Day is presenting the first full hour of Talika. You might have caught one of their Today’s Special Values before but this Sunday will be their first full hour and I’m really excited to be bringing it to you.
This is a brand with a real difference and it all began in the second world war with a focus on eye products. It has grown since there but still has fantastic products for lashes, eyes and brows. We’re talking science and nature combined to create fabulous beauty tools and products. The show is on at 4 p.m. on Sunday 8th so I hope you can join me for it then.
Another exciting launch on Beauty Day is a brand called Perlier and it’s all based around Italian honey. Having had a try of a couple of the products, I can tell you they are very sumptuous and luxurious and actually I think I’m going to buy some as Christmas presents, as they would make a really nice treat for someone.
Lastly, if you wait just a few days after Beauty Day until the 12th then we will be having a Molton Brown Today’s Special Value. It will be a four-piece set with body wash and hand wash in either a Fresh or Warm option.
As we all know, Molton Brown are known for luxuriously scented products and I think that I might buy a couple of these sets and split them up into Christmas gifts, as they are great value. I like giving a little selection of smaller gifts to people instead of one big one so these will add in nicely.
