A Few Little Updates and Beautiful Shoes!

Hello everyone!

I hope you’re all doing well. Don’t you love Autumn? The air is so lovely and fresh when I walk Monty in the morning – I find it very invigorating for the day ahead. The photo at the top here is Monty all curled up after a rainy walk. We’ve got so much great Autumn and Winter fashion coming in at QVC too, which I have very much enjoyed browsing and buying.

House renovations are ploughing on and we now have a kitchen floor! This is seriously exciting and it looks great. I’m going to save posting a proper photo on here until the kickboards are in and the last few touches are done but here’s a little snap I took just before the tiler was finished, so there was no grout yet.

We’ve just ordered a nice shelf to put my cookbooks etc. on and that should be here soon. Hopefully in the next blog I can give you a little tour. I am really pleased with how it’s all shaped up.

So one room down but another in complete chaos…the dining room is the next on the agenda. Do you remember a few blogs ago me spending DAYS stripping woodchip wallpaper off the walls in there? Well it turns out it was all for nothing because all the plaster has had to come off as it’s blown! How annoying! Oh well, at least it will look fabulous when it’s all done. The plasterer is coming at the end of the week to get the boards up and plaster on the walls. My lovely friend Jo is coming to stay in a couple of weeks and is going to help us paint in there too so we’re hoping we can get it all done fairly quickly. Dare I say it… we might have the downstairs of our house mostly finished by Christmas! How fabulous would that be?!

A little feature we have decided for the dining room is to keep the space where there used to be a fire and plaster it properly and we will then turn it into a little wine rack inside. I think I might paint it a different bright colour in there too, just for fun. Might as well make use of the space for storage! Here’s what it looks like now – as you can see, it’s going to take some sprucing up!

Now, at QVC there’s lots of fantastic offers on and, in case you hadn’t realised, I wanted to make sure you’re aware that, as well as the Today’s Special Value, at 9pm each night we are also launching a Festive Find. These are essentially extra little deals and surprises for the next 27 hours (a few last a little longer) that might be money off certain items or easy pay offers etc. It’s definitely worth checking in every day, now that we’ve launched Christmas shopping with the extended money back guarantee on gifts until 25th January and we have all the special Festive Finds.

One brand to really look out for at this time of year is Cozee Home – they really have some fab pieces to snuggle up with and they make great gifts. I actually just bought the Velvetsoft Supreme Throw after presenting it on air because it was SO soft and snuggly I just knew I couldn’t be without it. It was delivered yesterday, so I am looking forward to future evening snuggling up with it. Did you know they also do gorgeous rugs? Great if you have pets or children who spend a lot of time playing on the floor and they are, as you would expect from Cozee Home, beautifully soft as well as attractive.

Finally I want to just show you a couple of pairs of AMAZING Moda in Pelle shoes I have added to my QVC wardrobe. The brand do shoes so, so well, from the practical and stylish to the seriously fashion forward and fun. I also love that they are comfortable and well made so they really last. The first pair I got fall under the practical heading but are no less stylish. Just look at these gorgeous boots!

I like the plain leather at the front contrasting with the animal print, which is just at the back – I think it makes them easier to wear and if you’re a bit scared of print clashing this would be a good place to start. Now, the second pair might not fall under the practical heading so much but boy are they beautiful – and who could say no to stilletos with POM POMS ON?!!!

I can’t wait to wear these on air. I went for Burgundy as I wear a lot of black and navy so I think they will go well with those instead of black shoes but I NEARLY went for teal instead – it was a tough choice. Not for the faint-hearted heel-wise but I am in LOVE.

I’ve bought some more fashion items for my wardrobe too, so let me know if you’d like to see any more of them and I’ll try and get some photos for the next blog. Apologies about the lack of snaps for this one but, as you can imagine, the house is in a bit of a state so it was hard to find anywhere with a nice background! Ha!

Hope you enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll be back in a couple with another blog.
