All about Elemis

Hello!

I hope you’re all keeping warm in this cold weather. Only a smattering of snow where I am at the time of writing, but there’s more forecast for later. The only real downside for me is that it’s become too cold really to take baby Beatrice out for walks now, even when she’s all bundled up in the pram, her face still gets so cold. So, more toys inside and lots of bouncing in the doorway bouncer it is!

Now, I want to use this blog to talk about one of our biggest brands at QVC… Elemis. We have an Elemis Today’s Special Value coming up this Sunday 14th, which will be on pre-sale already by the time you read this blog. I was lucky enough recently to spend an hour chatting to Grace Coburn from the brand over zoom all about Elemis, their different ranges and their hero products.

As you may already know, Elemis is a salon brand grown right here in the UK, but has gone truly global and is loved by many, many people over the globe and, most importantly, lots of QVC customers too. Talking to Grace made me realise just how important it is to the brand to have proper clinical trials to test their products, and the results are incredible time and time again. We often share the results of these when we bring products to air, so keep an eye out for them as they are often seriously impressive.

I had never really tried too many Elemis products before joining Q and have enjoyed exploring more and more as time goes by. What was lovely about having a chat to Grace was that she was able to guide me through some products that were good for me and also explain what the different ranges are great for.

Now I’m going to start by telling you about the Today’s Special Value but then I thought I’d tell you what I’ve been trying and loving lately with Grace’s guidance.

The set that we will be bringing you on Valentine’s Day is a trio of major favourites from the brand; Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, Pro-Collagen Overnight Matrix and Pro-Collagen Eye Revive Mask. All three of these are going to be fantastic if you want to help the look of lines and ageing, but are also a great choice if you are looking for pampered, soft and lovely feeling skin.

It’s a fabulous set to show off Elemis’ amazing way with textures. Many of their products have surprising consistencies and even the Overnight Matrix, which is a seriously power packed product to help your stressed out skin, has a wonderfully light, gel-like cream texture. I hate heavy creams and find so many brands’ more powerful products are really thick, but I love the lightness of this. I will add that on our website at the time of writing, this alone is £94, so the value for three products at £66.96 is amazing.

The Cleansing Balm is a really clever product that I know many of you will use a lot, as it goes through three different stages from balm to oil to milky and it looks after your skin as it cleanses. Grace also really recommends using it as a mask occasionally for that extra bit of luxury and a treat for your skin.

The Eye Revive Mask in this kit is one of my new favourites. As a new mum, I’m not getting as much sleep as I used to and the place I feel gives this away most is my under eyes. I’ve been using the Peptide 4 Eye Cream from Elemis, which I think has been great, but Grace suggested that a couple of times a week, I layer this over the top and blimey, can I tell the difference when I’ve used it! I genuinely didn’t think an eye cream could make so much difference but it really, really has and it will be a firm part of my routine from now on!

So that’s the Today’s Special Value, which I love and hope you will too. Oh, and it all comes with a lovely Elemis wash bag to keep them all in.

Now, I want to share with you a couple of new discoveries for me from the brand. After explaining to Grace that I have skin that reacts hormonally and that I’ve been struggling lately with large pores and imperfections, she said she thought I would love the Dynamic Resurfacing range, which works to help the skin renewal cycle. And guess what? She was right!

I’ve been trying out the Facial Wash and the Dynamic Resurfacing Pads within my routine and my skin has definitely improved, looking fresher and those imperfections minimised. The Facial Wash is Grace’s favourite too, and I can understand why… it’s so lovely and creamy and gentle to use, but seems to really work to freshen up your skin and kick it back into touch. I’ve been using this in the morning every day in the shower. The pads are clever because they use both chemical and gently physical exfoliation without overdoing it in any way. I love how gentle these products are because products for problematic skin can so often be really harsh and not great for sensitive skin.

Another range that I’m loving from the brand is the Superfood range. I love the Cica Calm Hydration Juice for a morning moisture boost that feels light but really does the job (you can get it currently in a little trio of the superfood range) and Grace has recommended I try the Superfood Facial Oil.

I told her I’m a little scared of using an oil on my face, as I know a lot of other people are too. She advised to try it on areas where I don’t get breakouts first and see how I get on. It smells divine and strangely doesn’t feel that oily at all. It’s something I’m going to keep trying and see what my skin thinks. Grace advises to put it on before other skincare, onto clean, dry skin.

Just two more products I’d like to mention, although there are so many more I could talk about. First is the Aching Muscle Supersoak… ohhhh my goodness this smells soooo good and what a fabulous spa-like treat to have in your bathroom. I highly recommend this one if you need to achieve some serious relaxation. It’s a soak for the muscles but I really found it clears the head too… I always have trouble with my sinuses, especially in winter, and this actually really helped them too! This is the real spa-at-home feeling product.

Lastly, I want to mention something to keep your eyes peeled for, because it’s new and launching this month. For you Pro-Collagen fans out there, there’s a new member of the family and it’s the Pro-Collagen Marine Moisture Essence. It’s clinically proven to double skin’s moisture content and again is a super lightweight formula… it could almost be water. So, so clever and, as always with Elemis, it smells incredible. As it’s new, I’ve only just got mine to try but first impressions are great.

I’ve had so much fun trying some new products and playing around with my routine by slotting in the Elemis products and am really thankful for Grace’s help with this. I’ll be bringing you a full hour of Elemis on the 14th as part of their Today’s Special Value day and I’m really looking forward to chatting more about how I’ve been getting on with the products because that’s what I love about QVC… being able to really ask questions and chat about something before you try it, it means you’re more likely to get what you want and need from skincare.

So, I want to know, what are your favourite Elemis products and how do you like to use them? And are there any skincare steps you could never ever miss out, no matter what? Baby Beatrice can’t even crawl (although it looks imminent) and I’m already telling her that in the future she has to take her make-up off properly every single night, no matter how tired she is! Ha!

I hope the rest of your week is wonderful.
