Looking forward to a busy spring

Hello!

Wow, is that spring I see poking its head round the corner? I think it just might be! A welcome relief for many, I think, and what lovely days we’ve had recently. I took the last week off from working at QVC, obviously not to go anywhere, but my husband had annual leave to use too and we spent the week getting small jobs done around the house. And my goodness, how nice it was to have a week where he was always around to help with the baby rather than go upstairs to work. We went on a good few family walks and it was lovely to see the snowdrops and few daffodils blooming too. I took this photo of Monty and it makes me laugh because it looks like he’s doing a goofy grin in it!

As I said, we’re trying to plough on and get some of the jobs that need doing around the house sorted and with another pair of hands we’ve managed to get some niggly, annoying jobs done like painting heating pipes and sanding and painting cupboard doors. We FINALLY put up the blind in our bathroom which really warms up the space… it was very bare and white on that side of the room before but this makes things feel cosier and brings in the blue and grey tiling. What do you think?

My husband also boarded part of the loft so we’ve been able to get a good few boxes up there, including lots of baby clothes and other bits and pieces. I also got a bit ruthless and went through my clothes and have given a lot to charity. I suppose we’ve done a bit of an early spring clean/clear out and it feels really good. So the next job is the hallway and dining room flooring… we’ve got tile samples on the way. Oh, and we ordered some wardrobes for our bedroom! We’ve foregone the fitted wardrobes, as they are all quite pricey, but we’ve got some that will be only a few centimetres off fitted and it may be sad but I cannot tell you how excited I am to have wardrobes!! We’ve only had a rail and a chest of drawers for YEARS and I can’t wait to have a nice ordered space for all our clothes. Yippee!

So that’s all the exciting (for me) stuff at home but there’s so much to get excited about at QVC at the moment… let me list a few of them for you.

There’s a brand new launch from Elemis as they bring us a new fragrance option for their Cleaning Balm as Pick of the Month for March. It’s Water Mint scent and it’s wonderfully refreshing.

The lovely Charlie Brook’s four leaf clover necklace is Diamonique Design of the Month and it’s so cute. It’s a little four leaf clover that’s made out of four hearts and is covered in sparkling Diamonique stones.

It would make a gorgeous gift for Mothering Sunday and it’s on an adjustable chain so can be worn with lots of necklines.

Don’t forget there’s been a huge new launch from Benefit too. If you’ve missed it, they’ve brought out a brand new mascara which is, get this, MAGNETIC! It’s got some really clever technology in the wand that helps you get super long luscious lashes. I really like it because it seems to really grab and separate each of my lashes and make them look lovely and long without seeming false.

Speaking of make-up, one of my favourite ever brands is bringing us a Today’s Special Value next week… it’s Tarte! On Tuesday 9th, they will be bringing us a 4 piece Flawless Complexion Collection with a bag.

It includes a new Shape Tape Pressed Powder Foundation, which I am really excited to try. You also get a Shape Tape Concealer, an Eyeshadow Palette and my favourite mascara, Lights, Camera, Lashes. It’s a great value kit and I’m definitely getting it for myself. I’ll be bringing you a full hour of Tarte on the day and I am really looking forward to it so I hope you can join me for that.

There’s special promotion for March too where a few of our brands, including Tarte, have reduced P&P to £1.95. So now’s the time to stock up on your faves… I know I will be.

We’ve also had Dannii Minogue launch her petite clothes and Diamonique ranges just recently and there are some really lovely pieces. I really suggest you check it out, especially if you are truly a petite lady.

Spring fashion is really leaping into action, so make sure you keep browsing that fashion tab and watching the style channel too… so much exciting stuff on the way. Also, if you love fashion, then check out our lovely presenter stylist Stine here on Stories or follow her on Instagram.

I could go on and on, there’s so much happening at the moment but I’ll leave it there for now. Thanks as always for reading and remember you can find me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram too.

Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you back here soon.
