Time to wrap up!

Hello!

Well, what a couple of weeks! I’d like to say a huge thank you for the wonderful welcome back I’ve had. The comments on my last blog were lovely and I’ve had many messages on social media since being back on air last week. I’m really touched by all the kind words. I apologise if I haven’t replied to a comment you have left – as you can imagine, starting work again and having baby Beatrice to contend with has kept me very busy!

My first day back was, in fact, not on air and included a fantastic session with our QVC presenter stylist Stine. She is really excellent and picked out some outfits from out plethora of fashion brands at QVC for me to try on so I can have a fresh wardrobe ready for my first shows. As any of you who have had babies will I’m sure understand, not much I already had still fits me as my shape and size have both changed.

I’ve always loved clothes and count myself really lucky that part of working at QVC involves playing around with different looks and brands. I’ve already worn a couple of the new pieces on air but there will be plenty more to come. I will share some more details on social media so follow me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram to catch those. Stine has her own QVC blog too, so make sure you head over there and see what she’s sharing too.

I’ve also got some fabulous new shoes so perhaps I will do a little edit on those in a blog to come if you fancied seeing that?

Now, what I really want to share with you this week is the Today’s Special Value on Saturday 28th November, launching Friday. It is from our tried and trusted outerwear brand Centigrade. It’s a classic offering from them in that you get superb warmth for winter but it looks lovely and stylish too. I’m really looking forward to wearing this on future dog walks (you’ll notice the dogs photo-bombing one of the pictures I took) as well as dashing between baby classes with Beatrice. It has a clever little zip-up panel inside that looks like you’re wearing a matching gilet, so if you have to be striding around or being particularly active but don’t want your coat totally open, this gives you a little more freedom.

There is a choice of five lovely colours, which you might spot on various presenters this week, and the faux fur is detachable from the hood. I went for the beautiful Loden Green colour… I think it’s a great shade to go with everything and very countryside chic, which is right up my street. The value of this faux down coat is really incredible too and I predict it being a very popular purchase because of that. Make sure you watch the launch on Thursday at 9 pm if you can.

One last thing before I go; remember the Elemis set for men I mentioned in my last blog that I got for my husband to try out? Well, here’s the verdict from him: “The shower gel smells really fresh and a little goes a long way. I’ve been using the shave gel three or four times a week and really like it. If you always use a shaving gel you won’t be disappointed by this one and if you normally use foam then try this out. It’s been nice to try out something different to what I usually use and would definitely try more Elemis in the future.”

Hope that might help if you’re doing a little Christmas shopping for a man in your life! The set is still available on the site at a great price and there are other options for men too, including both bigger and smaller sets depending on what you want.

That’s it from me for now. I’ll be back with more in a fortnight but in the meantime I hope you keep well and please do keep in touch on social media if you want:

  1. So nice to see you back Kathryn….. Your little girl is beautiful and you look so well….. All the very best to you , have a fantastic Christmas…. XX🎄🎄🎄🎄⛄⛄⛄⛄

  2. Lovely to see you back Kathryn and Beatrice looks adorable. Looking forward to the Centigrade TSV. Particularly like the look of the way that you dont have to do it all up thanks to the gilet look underneath. As a curvy woman of a certain age (hot moments!) you dont always want to be fully done up but this gives you the option not to get over warm. That colour really suits you and so does motherhood – you look so well. Take care xx
