Family time, Laura Geller and a chance for you to save

Hello again.

I hope this finds you well and coping with whatever your new ‘Covid normal’ has become.

Many of us are beginning to feel confident enough to get out and about a bit, and I’m really looking forward to Olley and I taking our motor-home down to Bath for a couple of nights to see our youngest, Billy, and his fiance Mel. Staying in our completely self-contained motor-home is the perfect way to reduce the risk that comes with leaving our home.

Above is an adorable picture of Billy and Mel’s dog Jasper… I’m looking forward to a walk with him soon.

Last weekend we saw middle child Charlie with his girlfriend Maddie, plus Bex, Dan and our two gorgeous granddaughters Zozo and Eliora stayed with us for a few days just before that. Bex prefers the girls to not have a social media presence, so I’m not posting photos of them, but I hope the photo of Jasper makes up for it a little!

I’m not holding Eliora yet, just to be safe, and it’s hard not to cuddle her but so good to simply see her at three months old. She is such a chilled, smiley little girl, which is a good thing as Zoe is a demanding two-year old! Zoe is talking really well and frequently making us laugh with her grown-up phrases.

Zoe seemed to get the hang of using the loo in just a couple of days while she was staying with us, so hopefully it’s goodbye to daytime nappies for her. She’s growing up so fast and brings me an immense amount of pleasure, my heart swells fit to burst as she grabs my hand and asks ‘Nana, play in the garden, please?’

This week on QVC has some great offers, as always. Our Today’s Special Value on Thursday – available on our website now as a pre-sell– is from the ever popular make-up range Laura Geller.

Speaking of Laura Geller’s range, one piece of make-up I’d never be without is Laura’s Balance-N-Brighten foundation, which I love for its light and even-looking coverage that feels like nothing on my skin.

This doesn’t feature in the collection on Thursday but there are some other favourites, including the incredibly popular Spackle Even-Tone Primer. We don’t have any other form of Spackle available at the moment – it’s so hard to keep in stock – and this one is perfect for improving the appearance of an uneven skin tone, hiding imperfections and prepping the face for any other make-up. It’s packed full of active skincare ingredients and gives the skin such a healthy look that you may feel you don’t need any make-up on top of it!

This six-piece collection is completed by a non-sticky Top Coat Lip Gloss in rose tourmaline with light reflecting particles, and the Lash Bold Mascara, which features a specially designed applicator brush to help you control the level of lengthening, volumising and curling you create by deciding which side of the brush you use. Finally, you will also receive a gorgeous Blush and an Illuminator to add a soft glow with an all over face brush for easy application.

As always, this comes with a 60-day money back guarantee, so you can try it at home to see how much you love the textures, colours and the overall look you can achieve. It’s available now on our website and will be first featured on air at 9pm on Wednesday. After that, it depends how long our stocks last, so don’t think about it for too long!

If you do order this, or anything else, you’ll be offered the chance to save £10 on your next order over £25, simply by referring a friend who hasn’t ordered from QVC before. When they make their first purchase from us, they’ll receive a £10 discount and so will you!! All the details about how it works (don’t worry, it’s very simple…) can be found here.

Of course, it can be a family member rather than a friend, and you can claim it more than once with different people. It’s silly to pay full price when you don’t have to!

Have a good week, stay well and take care.

  1. Hi Kathy, grandchildren are such a delight and even in these restricted times even more so I find. I have a little 3 year old grandson who is a complete joy. We live near the East Yorkshire coast so have enjoyed taking him there in the last few weeks. He has had a ball just playing on the beach and getting the waves to “chase him”. Precious times indeed.
