My best picks from our mini fashion event

A big hello!

I hope you’ve had a lovely week! There’s a real buzz at QVC HQ as we are kicking off September in style with a Fashion Mini Event featuring some amazing brands including Kim & Co, Moda in Pelle and Laura Geller make-up but to name a few.

I’m so excited about our Today’s Special Value (6th September) Amanda Wakeley – The Mini Jackman Multiway Bag, which has been exclusively designed for QVC! I’m trying to save for a house but these handbags and offers keep getting in the way.

The Mini Jackman chic bag can be worn for an elegant look by simply using the grab handles. It’s so versatile that you can also easily achieve an effortlessly stylish everyday look wearing it over your shoulder, with the on-trend wide guitar strap. It’s the perfect size for everyday essentials, which in our new normal would also most likely include face masks, antibacterial gel and wipes.

I’ve got so used to loungewear co-ordinates thanks to lockdown, so now I often use a cute bag to jazz up my laziness. This elegant bag will elevate any outfit and is available in Black, Magenta Python, Metallic Suede, Raven Green and Natural Python.

My first purchase from QVC on my first day was an Amanda Wakeley bag – the quality is amazing, and I feel so glamourous wearing mine.

Loving L’Occitane

I presented my first full hour of L’Occitane beauty on the main channel with the lovely Alexis Murdoch, who’s been the longest-serving beauty ambassador on QVC, so I was in very safe, soft hands.

I was instantly drawn to the Wonderful Rose Collection & Gift Tin, as I love roses, and the mini creams were just so cute and arranged so nicely the tin. One of those gorgeous little mini tubes could easily fit easily into that Amanda Wakeley Bag!

I was also fond of the I Heart Shea Hand and Body Duo, as shea butter reminds me of visiting my grandparents in Ghana, as that’s where I’d used it in the past. The L’Occitane duo and products are just so luxurious – they smell and feel amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed trying them on the show and made a bit of a mess, but it was fun.

From fun to expecting miracles

I’ve just started using the UKLash Eyelash Conditioning Serum, which hydrates, and conditions lashes to help achieve the wow factor. I’m a little sceptical – says me who worked with psychics and mediums for 10 years. Though I have to say I’ve seen the most incredible before and after photos and I want this wow factor. You must use the serum every day for 90 days and so far, I’ve been good, (bearing in mind I’m only 2 days into the course haha) so hoping to see some development and growth soon.

Another highlight this week was presenting my second Wynne Layers hour with Evey Amery. What an amazing lady, she’s just so stylish, classy, and elegant. We both have a love for crystals, chakras, and manifestation – she’s helping me manifest a husband haha.

I chose to wear the Wynne Layers Chiffon Boyfriend Shirt and black jersey top. I opted for the colour Geranium in the shirt for Evey, as I’d remembered she mentioned on the last show that she thought that colour would suit me. I used to be a bit shy with how to wear brighter colours so it’s fun exploring with our amazing stylist Stine and getting style tips from our fashion experts too.

I asked Evey what colour she thinks for our next show, and she suggested the colour Basil. So, Basil is it! We were also in sync as we both turned up wearing the same black Marla Wynn Faux Suede Side Panel Solution Leggings– must be our spiritual connection.

After an amazing week at QVC, I spent the weekend in Kent with one of my closest friends Abi, who I’ve not seen in over two years, pandemic largely to blame. I was so delighted when she showed me a clip of her little 23-month-old baby girl asking me to be her godmother! I couldn’t work out what little Sofia was saying at first haha but was overjoyed when I realised. She’s such a gorgeous, sweet, loving little girl. She now joins my three other godchildren having me guiding them and hopefully being a good role model – no pressure! Sofia also gifted me this cute painting which I will treasure and frame.

Speaking of frames, I presented my first JM by Julien Macdonald show with his absolutely gorgeous cousin Justine Jones. We could talk for hours and are planning cocktails as an hour on the show just wasn’t enough! I really adored the mounted multi picture frame, and I was thinking of getting it for my mum, but I may need it for myself now.

I’m off to plan for another exciting week at QVC and lap up the Fashion Mini Event, but before I go, I want to thank you for reading my blog.

I’m really enjoying sharing myself with you and you can check out more of my shenanigans on social media @ophyliatv on Instagram and Twitter!

I wish you lots of love, light, and sparkles
