Four Months at QVC, still living the dream and more!

A big warm hello

I hope you’re all well and wrapping up! It’s getting so cold out there, and the clocks have gone back which means Christmas is around the corner! It’s very festive at QVC already and I love it. All my family and friend’s gifts are coming from QVC whether they like it or not, ha! But I’m sure they will love it.

Our Today’s Special Value offer from Shay & Blue on Friday 5th November is a fantastic one which will come in handy for me as I’ve a vegan friend and was wondering what to get her. Their fragrances are so lovely and linger, mum said she could smell me an hour after I’d left her!

It’s a gorgeous decadent four-fragrance collection, which contains a 100ml Eau de Parfum in a choice of Black Tulip, Blood Oranges (which is the one I love) or Atropa Belladonna and a matching Hand Cream of your chosen fragrance. And to finish off you’ll also receive three 10ml Eau de Parfums of Clementines, Lilac & Gooseberries and Cotton Flower, which are great travel companion sizes. Each scent is hand crafted and left to mature over three months to create the full gorgeous lingering scents and they’re vegan friendly. A real special, generous collection to keep or gift, or both.

I’m really finding my feet at QVC; I feel like part of the family, and it’s only taken me four months to not get lost on the way to the studios and I’ve been blessed to work with some amazing people.

Last week, I can’t believe I presented with Julien Macdonald OBE, he has literally made dresses for some of the biggest names in the world including Beyonce who I love! And there I was wearing his gorgeous leggings with zip ankle detail and chiffon overlay top, presenting with him! I totally fan girled but kept somewhat professional… I think

Then the fan girl continued as I presented with Ruth Langsford, who I’ve watched on TV for years and learnt watching her. It was such a special two hours sharing the screen with her. My QVC signature clothing piece is her faux leather pencil skirt with ponte side panel that I’ve loved since I started working at QVC and now have in every colour!

Of course, I had to wear it on the show with her, I went for the black skirt, ¾ sleeve printed tunic and platform leather ankle boots in black. Ruth wore her black snake option. Her faux fur lined aviator jacket she’s wearing is lovely and was so popular along with her whole collection on the show!

Being one of the new girls, I’m getting a lot of amazing support and advice from all the other incredible presenters but one day I didn’t listen to Dale and actually he knows best!

I was so excited to presented Hotel Chocolat as I love chocolate! Dale advised me not to scoff it all so quickly but by the time I was in the studio presenting I was eating so much and was sooooo full by 10 minutes in ha, ha but I loved it.

The chocolate sauce from the Velvetiser is the best chocolate sauce I’ve ever tasted! I ate the chocolate so quick the poor cameraman didn’t have a chance to focus on it oops, I’m still learning the ropes!

On that greedy note, I’m off to prepare for another fun, busy week at the Q.

Lots of love and light,

Ophelia
