I’ve been away from QVC for the last couple of weeks on a special USA trip, celebrating a friend’s 40th birthday. A big group of us spent the first part of our holiday in Las Vegas, including other QVC team members who work behind-the-scenes.
After a few days of fun in Vegas, four of us travelled to San Francisco! I love this city, we saw the cable cars, did a lot of hill walking and also travelled across to Alcatraz Island.
It was definitely an experience walking around the prison, hearing the stories of those who lived and worked there, an extraordinary place that is now home to a diverse population of wildlife.
Talking of wildlife, after a few nights in San Francisco we hit the road and travelled down the west coast to Monterey, here we headed out on a whale watching trip. This was an incredible experience, we’d only been on the boat for 15 minutes before we saw a huge basking shark, the captain said he hadn’t seen one in over 30 years, this was a real treat!
