My star item from the hour is the Neom Pillow Mist. This hero mist has been so popular for Neom and I can totally see why. With just a couple of sprays on my pillow before I went to bed it really allowed me to get in that crucial sleep zone, relax into the moment and empty my brain of all those tiny wedding details that have been keeping me up at night. I really couldn’t recommend this enough for anyone who has trouble falling asleep.

At the wedding we will be using the BundleBerry by Amanda Holden Light Up Trellises to bring a bit of greenery inside the venue and most importantly to hide certain unsightly areas we need to disguise. I’m so excited about these as these are going to be hung behind our LED bar and on another glass wall, which is going to create a fantastic backdrop for photos and will become even more special when they light up! (Don’t worry I will definitely be sharing photos in my next blog post.)

From venue glow up to facial glow up! I was lucky enough to be offered a pre wedding facial by Michaela from Gatineau. Of course, I jumped at the chance! Michaela gave me the full Gatineau experience from start to finish. All the products were glorious but some of the winners were The Expert Serum Cryo Collection, the serum itself was luxurious and I thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of the cryo globes on my skin. Along with the Aquamemory mask which is going to be available soon and of course the entire DefiLift Redefining Skincare Collection. I was left feeling glowed to perfection, relaxed and of course my skin felt smoother, cleaner and refreshed. Perfect way to start my shift at QVC. Keep an eye out for my reel on Instagram.

Time for the fashion glow up, our Todays Special Value the Nina Leonard Shirt Dress. I’m having a little pre-wedding dinner with some of my closest girlfriends and this is the perfect dress for the warm weather we’re having. I also know I’ll get lots of wear out of this because it can be worn in so many different ways! I’ve been wearing the gorgeous Aruba Green on-air and all the compliments are going to my head for sure!

Of course, Ultrasun had us covered the whole time, with their amazing sun protection. I tend to be super fussy about suncream because I had those thick oily lotions that always seem to leave me a strange shade of blue. But I don’t have to worry anymore with Ultrasun. My fav has got to be the Face & Scalp Mist Spray SPF50 because it’s light, refreshing and can be applied over make-up. I had a great show with Ultrasun last night and learnt so much about this amazing Swiss brand. One thing I did learn is that it’s their 30th Anniversary this month and to celebrate they have a fabulous Today’s Special Value coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

I’m so glad that it seems that spring has sprung and I am totally here for it. From Easter-inspired nail polish to alfresco dining to floral prints galore – nothing is a better mood booster than a little bit of sunshine. Working on the telly means that my manicure always has to be on point and the constant wearing of nail polish really made my nails quite dry and brittle. I decided it was time to make a change and this collection has slipped into my nail care routine seamlessly. For the few days I have in between manicures, I apply the Overnight Detox Mask and massage into my nails, leave it on overnight and rinse off in the morning – for me I noticed an instant result. My nails felt smoother, hydrated and I even noticed they were splitting less. When I have my manicure, I then continue to keep them nourished using the Crystal Infused Cuticle Oil. It’s amazing what a bit of nail TLC can do! I also got a bit ahead of myself and had my nails painted in spring colours, slightly premature of the season ahead, but these nails put a smile on my face and remind me of chocolate mini eggs. Lol

I also tried out the Alpha-H Clear Skin Blemish Control Gel. I usually have quite clear skin, however, recently I noticed the odd very stubborn blemish popping up from nowhere! I’m blaming the cold weather drying out my skin, teamed with the constant wearing of masks. I needed a magic potion to fix it and yes indeed I found it. A small amount goes a long way and when applying at night I found that the redness and the blemish size had reduced, which is really all a girl could hope for! I would highly recommend this to those of us who battle with the odd spot here and there.

Now let me give you little heads up to something new from Liz Earle coming soon to QVC. It’s the Cleanse & Glow Transforming Gel Cleaner. I’m a big fan of Liz Earle, mainly their iconic Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, so when I got a chance to try this out I was defo excited. The highlight for me? After it’s applied to dry skin and then you add water, it turns into this luxurious milky texture that effortlessly melts away the dirt and grime.

Ophelia and I are going on holiday to Ghana together! If you’ve been tuned in to any of mine or Ophelia’s shows, you would know this by now because we can’t stop talking about it! The excitement levels are high and the packing has started!

First step is sun protection and Ultrasun was an obvious first choice. I’m so picky with sun lotion and I hate those thick, hard to rub in creams that leave my skin a strange shade of blue. So, this past weekend was the Revitalise Your Beauty event and I had to get involved and take advantage of the amazing discounts and of course the free P&P! I ended up ordering the Nails Inc three-piece Overnight Treatment collection because I really need to start looking after my nails in between nail art manicures. I also ordered the Alpha H Blemish Control Gel and I can’t wait to give this a go. Maybe it’s the stress of a new year but I’ve had blemishes popping up left right and centre! I’m going to give this a go and put my review in my next blog.

Back to this week, today we have an amazing Today’s Special Value from Moda In Pelle, one of my favourite footwear brands at QVC. As you know I’m one of the newer presenters here at QVC and one of my first shows I did was with the Orbitrek Elite Crosstrainer Total Body Workout and boy oh boy did it kick my booty! Lol That was mainly down to me still finding my feet as presenter. I had no idea it was so hard to talk and workout at the same time, but I really enjoyed using the machine. It was so smooth, I felt like I was gliding (when I wasn’t speaking!) I really appreciated that I was working on my cardio fitness, which something I tend to neglect.

This was also the same day that I had my first Dannii Minogue Petite Fashion show with Danni Minogue herself. Yes she was on Zoom but that didn’t take away from my excitement or make me any less of a fangirl! She is so passionate about her collection and that really shines through. It was a total pleasure working with her and I’m so looking forward to our next show together in November. Also, did I mention that the collection is full of vibrant prints that are right up my alley; so much so that I had to do a little Instagram Reel.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog. As I’m one of the newbies here I wanted to share with you how it’s been finding my feet and getting used to my dream job! Now, it’s only been a month since I started here at QVC and trust me it’s been a whirlwind. After a vigorous training process the bosses finally let me on air and I’m getting to know all the fabulous brands we stock here. As some of you may know my first love is fashion. I love encouraging women to experiment with styling and show them how they can have fun with fashion to bring out their confidence. I do this by sharing style tips and tricks on my social media platforms and so if you ever need some styling guidance feel free to give me a follow on Instagram @AnnalieseDayes.

My QVC journey actually started out on the Style channel where I was (ever so briefly) a guest presenter. This is where I got the taste for the job at hand. It was and still is, so exciting; the rush of live TV, knowing that this is your one moment to share your expertise. This is also when I realised that QVC stocks fashionable brands that cater for everyone! I must admit my initial perception was that QVC was a little dated and only sold fuddy duddy clothing that would never appeal to someone like me, but I was so wrong! Some of my favourites have to be WULI:LUU by Gok Wan, he really know how to dress women to make them feel like their best selves. Ruth Langsford, who puts some much work into her collections and Frank Usher and his passion for sparkle but honestly the list could go on and on for ever, as you can see from my first QVC Instagram Reel!

But I also wanted to show you this Denim & Co. Sherpa fleece, long sleeve coat with hood (186882). It’s our Today’s Special Value offer this coming Friday 10th September. It’s got great deep pockets for snacks, an easy to use zip and a hood that actually covers my whole Afro! My favourite thing about this coat has got to be the checked lining which adds a nice pop of colour. I’ve styled it with this Ruth Langsford denim shirt, Diane Gilman boot cut jeans and these Dune Purla biker boots for a 70s inspired look. Now, I don’t actually have a garden, but I definitely aspire to have one, one day and I fully channelled this in my photo shoot!

As if starting a fabulous new job wasn’t enough for 2021, I also got engaged in April and moved house in August! So, I’m juggling lots of things, planning a fabulous London wedding and simultaneously making my new house a home. This new job at QVC couldn’t have come at a better time. My bridesmaids’ gifts, Diamonique, check! And let’s just say I am constantly browsing the home and kitchen sections for ideas and inspiration. The fiancé is definitely concerned about the number of packages arriving on a daily basis, but I just keep telling him it’s all research for the new job! (I’m not quite sure if he’s buying it though!)

Something I’m definitely buying into in the new app from QVC, Qurio. It’s basically a community for QVC shoppers who enjoy sharing tips, stories and inspiration about the products they love. If you’re interested in a specific product, it’s definitely worth checking out the Qurio app to find out what real shoppers are saying. We want to encourage honesty, positivity and diversity and inclusivity. You can share and upload photos and videos and discuss your real experiences with QVC products. It’s a place to make friends and connect with likeminded individuals in a safe space. Don’t be shy, Qurio is for everyone, so give it a go by downloading the app.

It’s a busy time at the Q and I’m still getting used to knowing what cameras to look at, but I’m loving every minute of it. I’ll be presenting my first ever Morning Show and Lunchtime show this week, so bear with me, wish me luck and I’ll see you there.
