I recently had a lovely show with Liz Earle brand ambassador, Caroline Archer. In all the years we’ve worked together, we’ve never actually presented an hour on QVC, so it was great fun. Previously, we’ve spent a lot of time filming together on the Isle of Wight, the home of Liz Earle skincare, so it was brilliant to have the opportunity to bring some of those stories to our show.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks since my last update, the biggest change was moving house! We’ve gone from the hills to the coast and have set up home in Hastings, East Sussex.

As I type this, we’ve only been in our house for three days, so you can imagine the state of the place, but we feel settled and it’s brilliant exploring a new area.

I’m slowly getting used to the seagulls, they seem to be the size of small dogs, but I’m sure we’ll get on. Talking of dogs, Archie is very excited, he loves the beach, I mean REALLY loves it! We’ve also met lots of people already, it’s a very friendly place, so I can’t wait to see more of the area.

I wanted to let you know about a couple of special offers coming to QVC very soon.

I’ve been away from QVC for the last couple of weeks on a special USA trip, celebrating a friend’s 40th birthday. A big group of us spent the first part of our holiday in Las Vegas, including other QVC team members who work behind-the-scenes.

After a few days of fun in Vegas, four of us travelled to San Francisco! I love this city, we saw the cable cars, did a lot of hill walking and also travelled across to Alcatraz Island.

It was definitely an experience walking around the prison, hearing the stories of those who lived and worked there, an extraordinary place that is now home to a diverse population of wildlife.

Talking of wildlife, after a few nights in San Francisco we hit the road and travelled down the west coast to Monterey, here we headed out on a whale watching trip. This was an incredible experience, we’d only been on the boat for 15 minutes before we saw a huge basking shark, the captain said he hadn’t seen one in over 30 years, this was a real treat!

The weather has been lovely recently, so it’s been great to spend more time out and about, I hope you’ve managed to enjoy some moments outside.

I recently discovered a cool little coffee shop and bar in a community garden the other day, it looked fantastic with all the blossom and decorations, a really nice space.

QVC are presenting some fantastic gardening shows at the moment, loads of experts, top tips and excellent offers. The weather was so good recently, we ended up getting the BBQ out and enjoying dinner in the garden, it was really lovely. To be honest, I was completely tricking myself into believing it was summer, so ended up having a glass of rosé too!

Steve and I were very lucky recently, we managed to get a few days away in Austria for some skiing, something we haven’t done for years.

The views were incredible, being able to spend time at the top of a mountain was very energising and of course we stopped for lunch and the odd beer! The first day was a bit odd, we hadn’t been on skis for a while, so it took a few runs to get my confidence back…

Our final day on the slopes was amazing, blue skies, sunshine and plenty of fresh snow. Of course I had my trusty Ultrasun Sports spray with me, I’ve used this product for years. I was very fortunate to have shared some fun, crazy and inspiring times with Tova. Back in 2013 myself and Alison Young hosted a few shows from the QVC studios in America, Tova lived nearby and invited us over for ‘tea’, well that actually meant champagne and canapés – that’s how Tova rolled!

In 2015, I interviewed Tova in her suite at The Ritz in central London for her 20^th anniversary on QVC. Tova always stayed at The Ritz when in town, it was her home from home and the team adored her. I’ve managed to find the video for you, it made me smile watching it back…
