How lovely that the weather is shifting and summer is here!

We don’t have any holidays booked as yet. I’d love to take the kids on a camping trip to Scotland to look for the loch ness monster in my father-in-law’s camper van. But Scott needs to pass his heavy goods driving test before we can drive it… so lots of pressure on him! LOL!

Hopefully, we’ll also get away to Mallorca but I’m a bit nervous after watching all the half-term flights get cancelled!

If you follow me on social media you may have seen that the house went on the market… I’m mad after doing the kitchen extension I know! Anyway, it’s under offer now… EEK! So the pressure is on to find a place.

Someone who didn’t feel the pressure was the lovely Brenda Edwards who had her first show on QVC the other day! So lovely to have her at the channel, and she’s a really lovely and genuine lady so it was great to work with her.

We went to the top of the Burj Kalif – the tallest building in the world! The kids were impressed, I was slightly terrified (lol)! Everything is done to the extreme over there, for example, in one of the shopping malls was a MASSIVE aquarium – sharks and everything!

We then drove to Abu Dhabi and stayed there for 6 days. It was soooo hot, like being in an air fryer! But there was so much for the kids to do.

We visited Ferrari land and the kids went on their first roller coaster! We also went to the water park and Warner Brothers tour. And as a special treat, we went to the zoo and had dinner with the elephants. It was a jam packed holiday!

It was very special for the kids, and we loved seeing them so amazed by everything.

So last time we spoke I was off to Portugal to meet my long lost sister… and I can report it was amazing! She’s loads of fun and has a great sense of humour and we absolutely hit it off and now are planning our next catch up in May possibly. It’s just fantastic and I’m so happy! Do you think we look alike?

I also now have my Portuguese passport which is amazing. Need to sort the kids out with theirs next.

Easter is round the corner and we are taking the kids on holiday, I’m very excited and looking forward to some sunshine! When we get back, I’m thinking about putting the house on the market… I know I’m mad, after all the hard work creating my kitchen of dreams! LOL!

Our issue is high schools – we have a school we’d like to the kids to go to but we’re not in catchment… in London the catchments are so tight, 0.2 – 0.3 miles! It’s mad! So, we’ll put it on and see what happens. It’s kind of exciting though.

Anyway I digress… Easter! I have a show with Hotel Chocolate on the 24th at 8pm… obviously these things can change but at the moment that’s the plan, and have a look at these delights! Eggs and bunnies of chocolate dreams! This is a fab Big Deal (816245), available from the 21st!

Finally, it’s March! My favourite month of the year, because it’s my birthday this month, and also Mother’s Day. A double whammy of treats!

After January felt like it had 509867 days in it, the next part of the year seems to be flying by!

We survived half term – just! I took the kids and some friends to the London Science Museum, which is always fun.

If you follow me on social, you will have seen that I grew some weird lump on my knee – it wasn’t pretty – I won’t subject you to a photo here!

Anyway, they did an MRI and thankfully nothing sinister and they drained it. Which didn’t hurt at all, for anyone that has this procedure lined up, but it’s pretty gross! I had to wear a very dramatic bandage for a few days, but got zero sympathy from the kids!

Anyway, I’m back on form now, which is great as I need to get to work in the garden. It took a bit of a battering when we had the building work done and some of our fence fell in the storm so I’m hoping to get stuck in any day now!

But I have to tell you, the most terrifying and amazing thing is happening to me this weekend… If you’ve been reading my blogs for a while, you will know last year, I found my half-sister. Same dad, different mum. We haven’t seen each other in 34 years! On Friday I jump on a plane and travel to Portugal where she lives, to meet her.

I’m so nervous!!! Weirdly I’m fixated on what to wear! I don’t want her to think I’m a scruff, but I don’t want to be too dressy! Isn’t it silly the things we worry about!? As if she’ll care! LOL!

She works for an airline and recently sent me this pic – they had laid on a special flight for refugees and these were two beautiful refugee children arriving safely.

I’ll of course let you know how it goes.

Just dropping you a quick note to say hi! The light is changing and I’m super excited to get the garden sorted. I planted my Plants2Gardens tulip Gudoshnik bulbs months ago and now they’re starting to peep through.

Look at the size of them! They’re going to be huge! I can’t wait until May to see them in full bloom.

I’ve struggled with my hair for many years since having children and bad bleaching and keratin heat treatments, so I’m always looking to strengthen and thicken my hair. If you have fine hair like me, that’s not as strong as you would like, this will change your hair game!

It is a premium line so it’s a considered purchase, but this is now my go-to! The change in my hair was instant! And it’s worth mentioning they are PETA certified, cruelty-free and vegan friendly. No silicones, sulphates or parabens and dermatologically tested.

This brand focuses on scalp health, we know that if our scalp is healthy we have the basis for happy healthy hair, and hopefully lots of new growth. The kids mainly spent all day in the pool though. I think Josh is part fish, he loves it so much!

We also went to the water park, which they love and I hate. Walking around in a swimsuit with your cellulite out for all to see is horrendous! So, inspired by the wonderful Alison Cork I’ve decided this is my year to get fit…. not gonna lie I say this most years… but I’m really trying this year.

I’ve got a PT and I’m working out 3 times a week and I’m looking at treadmills. We have the brand Echelon coming to QVC soon – so I’m excited to see what they have. But we do have a good treadmill from Roger Black that I have my eye on and I love the 60-day money back guarantee with items like this, because if within 2 months I’m not using it I know I can return it rather than turn it into an expensive clothes hanger!

I love using something like this after a workout though – the Homedics Physio massage gun. I bought a Pullseroll for Scott for Xmas when we had a promotion. We have some of their large models still on our website which are fab! So yeah, I work out now, but I don’t like to talk about it.

Not so glamorous – we took the kids to Chessington World of Adventures which was supposed to be their crimbo treat… but pretty much everything was shut! It was terrible! We complained and they’ve said we can go back when all the rides are open, but was such a let-down.

We caught up with some friends for a Christmas lunch and every year one of the dads dresses up as Santa! It’s so funny! Iz and Josh are getting close to becoming non-believers… boooo… but just look at their faces! They’re def not convinced he’s the real deal LOL!

There’s lots going on at the Q, it’s hard to keep on top of all the wonderful offers and things we have! I’ve treated myself to a few bits…

This coat from Phase Eight. It sold out when it was last in so as soon as it was back in stock I grabbed it! I love it! It’s sooooo cozy!!!

I also got this Helene Berman coat in Grey. I went for size 8 and I love it!!! I could order so many of her coats!

A newish brand we have here at the Q is Sage – leaders in Barista coffee from your home. I got Scott this coffee machine for his birthday, it’s amazing!! He loves it, especially working from home. There’s also a smaller version.

They’re an investment but if you love your coffee they’re amazing!! If you decide they’re not right for you after trying for your 60 days, we will come and collect!
