Animal special! Doggy videos plus sneaky peeks!

Another lovely week of fabulous fashions, including this. I had a nice couple of days wearing this animal tunic from Mr Max in the run up to their Today’s Special Value trousers on Wednesday – all sold very well! Plus, several people asked about it on social media, which is a sure indication that it is going to be popular. It may have gone, but the other prints are really nice and at a superb reduction. Check out the discount on this link.

Second animal theme this week was seeing my brother’s dog and cat again! In this video, the Ziggster is doing tricks.

It was lovely to see him again. Brother Glenn and family had to rush home from their holiday caravan in Croatia due to the quarantine clamp down. They picked him up from doggy home stay and he was cock-a-hoop for a few days, surrounded by his family again.

One person not so pleased to see him was Oreo the cat though, as he had had the run of the place to himself. But a little bit of chasing and they were back to normal again! Pussycat decided to come and join me while I was sitting in the garden.

The sun was out in the background, but that was the day when, not an hour later, there was the biggest downpour I’ve ever known. I was on the way to work and on one road, near Raynes Park level crossing, there were two humps across quite a narrow back road, and the rain had filled out the gap in between them! It was almost biblical. Torrential. Scary. Good job I didn’t go through Raynes Park Centre because Emma, who was in for the Nails Inc TSV that night, had tried to go that way. The traffic was stationary, she said, because one car was stuck in the underpass below the station with water levels above the wheels! Scary. Needless to say as soon as the rain started, both Ziggy and Oreo the cat rushed in doors.

But I must say, these pair had a rival this week…

Riley and me

Another doggy in my life this week was my lovely friend Sheena and Alan’s boy called Riley. I went to see them on Wednesday night for dinner and stayed overnight as my  guests were arriving the next morning in my place and it was just easier! Except that Riley took exception to me sitting on his sofa! He curled up next to me and happily dropped off to sleep. I was very happy to have hugs with a poggy, since I don’t have one down in Devon now, and his white hair contributed to Oreo’s on my cardigan. 🙂 Maybe Sheena could do with the new shark vacuum cleaner for True Pet technology, see below. 🙂

Butterfly brigade

I love it when the Buddleja come out in bloom because it means tons of butterflies. Look at this pair that I saw resting on my plant in Devon this week. How beautiful. 🙂 Don’t you love this time of year – apart from when the rain and wind are howling, of course! It felt like winter on my trip down to Devon mid week. 🙂 I still managed to do a video though for you, if you’ve been missing my vlogs – see below. I promise as soon as I move into my new place, hopefully within a couple of weeks, that I will be doing more regular video blogs out on my walks in the woods and around the grounds of my new pad.

Massive cucumber

My fellow presenters made a meal of my massive cucumber this week! I had left a note on the table saying there is one in the fridge, help yourself, and several of them posted a picture of the note with suitably funny comments attached… Well you can imagine. 🙂 One of my favourites though was this one with Craig. It got this big as my daughter Lauren used her poly tunnel in Wales as well as Richard Jackson‘s plant food to nurture several of these, plus some huge squash, tomatoes, peppers and more. Very impressed. It was very juicy as well when I ate it along with my sandwich. And there was still some left in the fridge. 🙂 Unless the other presenters had a munch! Lol.

Watch

I had an email this week to say that the Merlin cinema in Okehampton was open again. I wish I had time to go and visit when I was down in Devon, but I needed to get back for the Thursday night Facebook live over on my Facebook page. Follow the hashtag  #thursdaybantz, or search my name on Facebook to find it!

Blooper

You would not have seen it this week, but I had such a laugh with Rose, the IT Cosmetics guest. Out of shot I was stretching my neck and then my lower back by flopping down to the floor, as I’d been wearing wedges and standing up for several hours. As soon as we got to the break, she said “ohhhh Debbie, are you okay? I thought you were having some kind of funny turn!” It made the floor manager really laugh, because of the look on Rose’s face. I suppose she might have been a bit scared because I’m quite flexible so my elbows nearly reach the floor when I bend at the hip!

Anyway, you only have till Monday 31st at midnight to get the IT Cosmetics foundation/concealer/primer/SPF/colour corrector, a.k.a. the Product of the Month CC Cream, in supersize with zero postage! Watch the video on our website by following this link and click click click!

Podcast

Super new one with part two of the interview with Julia, finding out about her early years and her writing! Listen to it here.

Vlog

Did a Devon vlog this week – from the back garden! Thank you so much to my lovely friend Chris for helping me out down there while I’m not down so much. Take a little sneaky peek here, and also on the same page on Facebook, nearby this post, the Facebook live I did on Tuesday on QVC. See if you can guess the Molton Brown quiz question 🙂

Book of the week

Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. This book was recommended to me this week and I must admit it looks intriguing. “For years, rumors of the ‘Marsh Girl’ have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say…. or is she??” Will keep you informed, but it’s my latest purchase!

  1. Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens Read about this on Reese Witherspoons book club last year and waited ages for it to come to the UK in paperback (cant deal with Hardback books as they are so heavy) anyway read it earlier this year…absolutely loved it!! Definitely a book I will read again! xx

  2. I saw you in that Mr Max top and ordered it immediately! It’s a lovely fit and just the right weight for these cooler days.

    1. That was lucky because I think it sold out in all except the smallest sizes! Well done you. And yes it is a lovely weight and very very flattering I think 🙂 X
