Fashion week is here

Hello and a very good day to you all. I am feeling excited this week as Fashion Week has begun across the board from Milan, Paris, and yes, at QVC here in London too! We are really pulling out the stops with fantastic looks and great deals so keep a keen eye open for them. So, fellow fashionistas, let’s have some fun this week.

With 2020’s Pantone colour being Classic Blue, it opens up so many options in your wardrobe. You don’t have to make everything that shade though, and can play with different denims. Yes, mixing denims is A-OK! Dare yourself to go double or triple denim even. Denim & Co. do some really nice embroidered jackets, and as a denim jacket is a classic wardrobe staple, it’s a safe buy. I’ve always said buy a new pair of jeans to suit the season. It’ll be worth it and make you feel good too. I love the feeling of putting on new jeans and knowing that the shape is holding together and therefore, giving me a good shape. I really recommend these from Nouveaux, especially if you like a little bit of a distressed look. But if you’d prefer to go for a more classic look, then try Ruth Langsford’s range or NYDJ, which stands for Not Your Daughters Jeans. Funnily enough, I’ve got my mum staying with me at the moment and she and I could swap jeans. She likes a slim-line straight-cut with a high waistline.

I wore this outfit for my first time back at QVC last week. It’s the Nouveaux and the Monsoon marble top, which I love. It has a nice nod to the 70’s with the purple and soft blush marble design. Statement prints are big this year, whether it be polka dots, tie dye or wild animal print. If you don’t want to go full out on the print side of things, then you can always add it in in your accessories. I really enjoy wearing a headband or having a brightly coloured handbag. Check out this fabulous fashion edit on key trends. It will give you some ideas and helpful style tips too.

Just before I went on maternity leave, we started to have Monsoon as part of our collection, which I was delighted by. It’s such a wonderful brand that brings us up to the moment trends and classic pieces. In fact, this week’s Big Deal has been designed especially for QVC from Monsoon, how great is that? It’s this lovely midi dress with cap sleeves (great if you want to wear a long sleeve underneath) and it encompasses two key trends, the polka dot and the floral print. It comes in Black, Green, Red and Navy plus is made from 100% viscose that gives the dress great movement. The V-neckline is also very flattering! I really like this look with a little leather jacket and trainers.

I said keep an eye out for some specials this week. Here is another, this time from one of my favourite shoe brands Moda in Pelle. The Larya slingback shoe is currently only available at QVC and in interest-free instalments. This shoe will give your outfit a current feel with its chunky heel and flattering V-shaped top line. The dual textured detail on the heel and peep toe makes it very 2020. The most difficult bit about this is choosing your colour. Will you go for Nude Leather, Black or White Leather, Metallic or Cobalt Blue? Please join me at 3pm on Monday Feb 17th for a whole hour of Moda in Pelle. I cannot wait!!

I really could talk about fashion all day-long, as I am sure many of you know already. I wanted to put together these two outfits, which feature another brand I love, Phase Eight, to show how easy and not scary wearing print can be. The outfit item numbers are all below. This jumpsuit has such a wonderful fit and makes me feel confident in my shape. Let’s be honest, giving birth doesn’t leave you with the body of a super model! So finding clothes that fit well and make me feel both confident and comfortable is my main aim at the moment. The jumpsuit has little stars and spots plus the trousers are polka dots. I’ve worn them with a simple white pair of trainers from Moda in Pelle.

The shirt is from Baukjen and has a subtle nod to the utility style that’s very popular right now. I think this looks very classy worn with skinny jeans or with a black pencil skirt and heels. Perhaps those sling backs too…

Jumpsuit: 181933

Shoes: 176657

Shirt: 178639

If you love that classic shirt look, then you will be interested in our Today’s Special Value on Tuesday 18th from MarlaWynne (item number 182841). The shirt is sleek, streamline and stylish. Button front fastenings with a hidden placket and a collar neckline too. Wear it easily with leggings or a wide leg trouser, and again, with trainers or the slingbacks. It comes in Marla’s classic shades of Seagrass, Oyster, Copper, Dark Slate or Black. It’s gorgeous.

I hope you have a great week and have fun tuning into our fashion week. Here are some shows to tune into if you love Monsoon, Phase Eight and Moda in Pelle.

Oh, and one last heads up about Feb 24th TSV will be the Pop Sonic Leafbud Duo. This is a nifty little gadget to cleanse your face. I’ve been using mine for a long time. The soft silicone bristles are great for getting into the dirty pores and really leaving your face feeling clean. It works by using 4900 vibrations per minute and is completely waterproof. Here’s your item number: 402801.

Right, with all this talk of fashion of fashion, I’ve worked up quiet an appetite! I’m off to make my favorite new breakfast. Porridge with coconut milk, mixed with prunes, banana and a dollop of peanut butter and mango. I think I’ll add some chocolate for a treat today.

See you soon,

Love, Eilidh

  1. What a great informative blog. Bless you for finding the time! It’s great to see you back as bubbly as ever and you looked great in the monsoon big deal adorned in Lola Rose. Thank you also for including pics of your baby son, he is adorable – maybe QVC needs a baby range. Regards Tanya.
