Hello everyone! Happy May to you!

I hope you’re doing well and savouring the joys of spring. I always enjoy seeing nature burst into life again after enduring the cold, stark landscape of winter. Sunny days, birdsong and flowers are all brimming with hope for the future warmer days on the horizon.

Please forgive the slight hiatus in my blogging. Life has been, as ever, pretty hectic, but I’m back to thank you for your patience and kindness.

I thought it was about time I gave you an update on my lovely fur babies. Popsiecat is her sweet, gentle, darling self. She is a British Shorthair Silver Tabby. She and her late sister, Pixie, have always lived life at a rather a slow pace. I’m watching her sleep on the sofa opposite me as I type. I just spoke to her and she rewarded me with her heart-melting slow blink ‘smile’. I say smile because when cats offer a slow blink it’s similar to when humans smile at each other. It’s a way of expressing their contentment. I always feel a little happier when I’ve received a slow blink from Popsie.

As for the boys… complete and utter mischief every day, ha ha! They’re adorable, though. They all have their own little characters. I now have child locks on all my kitchen cabinets as the boys get into everything. Even with the locks they can squeeze their mischievous paws through the small gap and wreak havoc! This morning I awoke to find they had somehow managed to open a carton of yeast flakes and spread its contents everywhere. A new surprise awaits me every morning. I think I need to build a cat wall to help keep them stimulated whilst I’m at work or in bed. They’re not naughty, they’re just cats being cats. Very inquisitive and intelligent cats, no less!

Ziggy is the funniest little guy. I lovingly call him my dog. He chases the hosepipe in the garden and plays fetch and makes me laugh on a daily basis. Bowie is the heaviest of the three at 7.5kg! He is hilarious, too. He gets a bit jealous if my attention isn’t all on him. If I’m doing some work he plods across my keyboard and if I still don’t give him enough notice he starts knocking things onto the floor next to me. My phone and dairy have taken many a tumble thanks to BoBo and his need to be at the centre of my universe. They’re all little sweethearts which makes all the cat hairs, poop, mess and mischief worthwhile. Nature made them cute enough to grant them forgiveness for anything and everything.

Now onto L’Occitane. We have a great Today’s Special Value on the way at the weekend. It will launch live on air at 9pm this Saturday and will continue to feature for the rest of the weekend if stocks allow.

Beautiful beginnings – the hills of Haute-Provence in southern France offered a great source of inspiration to the founders of L’Occitane and still provide a plentiful selection of natural produce and extracts to enrich its pampering range of beauty products.

L’Occitane’s range of luxurious beauty products are made in traditional ways using the finest natural ingredients and active botanicals, primarily from Provence, in southern France. L’Occitane seeks to create a harmony that balances sensory pleasure with inner well-being, luxurious textures with beautiful scents, which capture the famous art de vivre of this region.

Make space on your bathroom shelf, because these L’Occitane treats in our special offer are simply irresistible! Featuring a choice of new Shea Vanilla or Shea Rose fragrances (both currently only available at QVC), this sumptuous collection offers gentle Liquid Soap with a handy Eco Refill, indulgent Shower Oil and hydrating Hand Cream to give your daily routine a pampering boost.

Exception to the rule – L’Occitane has a Provence-only rule, but when it comes to special ingredients like shea butter, it makes an exception. The women of Burkina Faso have been using shea butter for centuries to pamper their hair and skin so L’Occitane have teamed up with them to create a fair trade supply chain that delivers supreme quality shea butter to your beauty regime.

I’ll be on air with lovely Alexis Murdoch, our expert guest specialist, at 11am on Sunday with our Today’s Special Value offer and plenty of other treats for your delectation.

This Saturday I’ll be on at noon with an hour of goodies to help you enjoy your outdoor spaces. At 2pm we hope to help you sleep more soundly with the help of Silentnight and then, at 3pm, Richard Jackson and De Jager will have some great ways for you to make the most of your gardens.

On Sunday, after my L’Occitane show at 11am, I’m looking forward to some more outdoor living ideas at 1pm. It would be great to have your company.

Until then, feel free to follow me on my socials and have a listen to my first ever appearance on the QVC Podcast with wonderful Will Gowing. I hope you enjoy learning a little bit more about me.

Wishing you all a lovely May full of reasons to smile.

Love Catherine xx

The superpowers of fashion, that is, and QVC have them in abundance!

So, forget about April showers and join us for our two-day fashion extravaganza on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th of April, for some of our top fashion brands, guests and super deals to get your wardrobe sizzling for spring and summer.

Many of my personal favourites are featuring including Accessories by Kipling, Ruth Langsford Fashion, Skechers, Helene Berman and Finery London. In fact, the Today’s Special Value offers for the two days are from Skechers & Ruth Langsford. Yippee! My fingers will be hovering over the order button throughout.

I love that spring is here and summer is on the way. It’s wonderful to be getting out into the fresh air and arranging get-togethers once more. I’ve been making a point of seeing friends when I can and I’ve been living in this dress by Finery London. It’s so flattering. I now have it in every single colour option and always get compliments when I wear it.

Make sure you check the TV guide so you can plan your viewing. With so many brands to choose from, you’ll be spoilt for choice. We have cherished favourites like Kim & Co, Marla Wynne and Frank Usher; Dannii Minogue’s fabulous petites collection (which also comes in regular) to add a pop of fun and vibrancy, plus Denim & Co. offering those classic essentials.

We also have high street favourites Joules, Monsoon and White Stuff, as well as newer brands like Seasalt Cornwall, Masai Clothing and Badgely Mishka. Du Jour is back, too, with some gorgeous prints!

I hope you can join me for my shows on Saturday. My first hour is Seasalt Cornwall at 5pm and you can expect beautiful earthy colour tones with an occasional vibrant red or royal blue thrown in to the mix. The collection is comfortable, stylish and everyday wearable with a strong focus on sustainability.

If you’re looking for the perfect footwear to complete your looks, I’ll be hosting an hour of Naturalizer Footwear at 7pm. Did you know the company have been around since 1927? Nearly a century later they are still proving that you can have it all – looks AND comfort. They are obsessed with comfort and fit, as well as premium quality materials and finish.

Then for my final show (of the day!) at 9pm I’ll be inviting you to Reset Your Style with some of the top offers from the event.

Of course, we will have a full complement of expert guests, from celebrities such as Ruth Langsford and Dannii Minogue to top designers and personal stylists. We’d love to hear from you with any fashion questions or even just to say hi.

I’m looking forward to it already and may just have to make a little room in the wardrobe ahead of time!

See you soon.

Love Catherine xx

Hello my dear friends. How are you? I hope you are keeping well, safe and taking some time for you.

I just wanted to write to remind you that it’s not selfish to take some time to recharge and replenish yourself. You wouldn’t expect your car to keep going if you never topped up the oil and petrol (or plug it in if you’re electric, like me). Likewise, if you aren’t taking good care of yourself, it can be harder to cope when the proverbial hits the fan!

Taking time for you doesn’t have to be a month-long yoga retreat in Bali… if only! It can be as simple as going for a ten-minute walk in nature without your smartphone, relaxing in a hot bath (may I suggest Sea Magik’s bath salts for this), turning off the noise and breathing or even singing to your pets!

I’ve been singing to my three today and it really made me switch off and forget, albeit temporarily, about everything else in the world. They just inspire me to sing the silliest of songs to them as I watch them simply be themselves. Out of all the cats I’ve ever had, I think the late great and greatly missed Pixiecat had the most songs of all. Maybe about equal with her sister, Popsie. I’m sure there’ll be many more for the cheeky boys, too, with time.

Speaking of cheeky boys, the main photo is a pic my son, Tom, took recently of Ziggycat. It really makes me laugh when I look at it. On my Instagram lots of people have been saying he looks like a panther or a puma. I agree! What a funny little fellow he is.

I’ve started my healthy eating regime again, cooking lots of really delicious, wholesome, home-cooked food. I find this can be a particularly good way to switch off and relax, as well as being an act of self-care for your body by feeding it with nourishing foods.

How do you like to relax? Please feel free to share below. I’m sure we could all do with some more suggestions.

Until next time, thank you for reading and I’ll see you soon on the tellybox!

Hello my dear readers.

Thank you as ever for taking the time to stop by and read my blog. I hope you are keeping well.

It would be remiss of me not to acknowledge what is going on in Ukraine. I think you wouldn’t be human if you weren’t moved by what we’ve been seeing. It’s currently Sunday as I write this and, no doubt, things will have developed further by the time this is published. I won’t dwell on it too much in this blog, but obviously our hearts and thoughts are with all who are affected by what is happening.

It can be a very natural thing to feel some guilt that we are carrying on whilst others are suffering. It’s because we care about others that we are touched by their plight. Compassion is healthy. What I feel isn’t healthy is to be locked into the news channels every hour of the day. This can result in our feeling overwhelmed, despondent and helpless. This is why I have entitled this week’s blog, ‘Taking time for you is healthy’.

There are many ways to do this which can really help us to switch off, even if just for a short while. If you have pets they can be a great source of mindfulness. Taking time to go for a walk in nature with dogs, observing their sheer joy when chasing a ball or fetching sticks, can be so uplifting. I don’t have dogs, but spending a little quiet time with my girl, Popsiecat, while she purrs and enjoys chin rubs is a priceless and calming activity. My boys, Ziggycat and Bowiecat, are a constant source of laughter. We know that laughter is good for the soul. Ziggy jumps higher than any cat I’ve ever known, and he also loves to play fetch. If he could talk, I think he’d identify as a dog! Bobo loves all the attention and, if he’s not getting it, he’ll start knocking things off the side table next to me. Phone, glasses, diary… they’ve all been flung onto the floor with great gusto in his attempts to get my attention! They’re such characters, the three of them.

One of my favourite ways of switching off is to have a long, hot bath. I have an array of different bathing goodies on my shelves to choose from. Sometimes Elemis, Korres, Neom and more, but a new favourite of mine is Sea Magik. Their bath salts are wonderful, and if you haven’t tried their haircare yet, I can highly recommend it, too. There’s something calming about water. Even a refreshing shower can be good when you don’t have much time. It’s just a little space for yourself where you can enjoy a bit of peace and maybe a few indulgent beauty treats.

It may sound funny to you if you haven’t done it since childhood, but colouring in is a fantastic way of focusing on the here and now, which is, essentially, what mindfulness is. There are many adult colouring books around… on second thought, rather than searching for ‘adult’ colouring books, look for mindful colouring books. Goodness knows what results might come up for the former!

Noticing changes in nature is something that can be very enjoyable, as many of you green-fingered folk will testify. Spring is certainly showing up. The sky is the most beautiful, crisp blue today without a single cloud. Daffodils are starting to pop up and my lovely neighbour, Fred, has a tree and I can just see blossoms beginning to emerge on it.

I’m a huge fan of the late, great children’s entertainer, Mister Rogers. What an incredible human being he was. He had a TV series called ‘Mister Rogers’ Neighbourhood’. He was brave and kind and never shied away from speaking about difficult topics to the children. Something which has stayed with me is Fred Rogers speaking about looking for the people who are doing good when something bad happens. It’s so true. Even if you are feeling helpless right now, rest assured there are charities and individuals who will be working hard to help those affected by war. We will be able to help, too. Even if all we can do is make a monetary donation, it’s providing vital help to those in need and supporting those who are facilitating practical help.

Please just remember that it’s ok to take time for you, for your wellbeing. Especially if you are caring for others. That old saying, “secure your own life jacket before helping others”, comes to mind. Another one, “you can’t pour from an empty cup”, is also true. Take time to recharge, re-energise and destress so you are better able to focus on things which need your clear head and energy.

Wow, I hadn’t intended this blog to take the direction it did… I was only going to pop on to tell you about a Today’s Special Value offer from Frank Usher! If you’ve made it this far, thanks for persevering with my stream of consciousness. Now for that Frank Usher offer I mentioned…

I smile when I think of the brand because I instantly think of the lovely guest, June Poster. What a wonderful, positive ray of sunshine June is. I know many of you agree, as we always receive such warm social messages when we are on air together.

Well, June is bringing us a gorgeous light knit jumper which has been made especially for us at QVC. It comes in an eye-catching animal print to transform your everyday wardrobe and features stud embellishments to add a touch of sparkle and glamour. We’re big fans of its loose fit, too, which is sure to have you feeling comfortable and confident as you flaunt your style.

The spring season can be rather temperamental when it comes to the weather – one minute there’s a chilly morning breeze in the air, the next you’re basking in the afternoon sun. This lightweight knit offers great versatility as an extra layer whenever you need it, and the vibrant print options embody the joy and brightness of the season beautifully.

There are five fabulous print options to choose from, currently only available at QVC. Blue Leopard, Monochrome Leopard and Natural Leopard are all timeless options – ideal if you prefer neutral colours. While Pink Leopard and Turquoise Snake should be on your radar if you’re looking for something a little more vibrant.

Boasting a long length and elegant V-neckline, this jumper features the flattering shape of many of Frank Usher’s most beloved styles. For an extra unique finish, this design takes things one step further with stud embellishment details that match the pattern of the animal print. All in all, a wardrobe must-have and the reason why this blog is posted a day earlier than usual!

Please take good care and I’ll see you soon on the telly or my social media. Oh, on that note, I’ve had to change my social media names on Instagram and Facebook from Catherine Huntley TV to Catherine Huntley Official, due to naughty people trying to impersonate me. The downside of our technological age! Just thought I’d let you know so you can be vigilant in case you see someone pretending to be me in order to ask you for bank or card details. Yes, we really do! We are so lucky to have such wonderful, loyal viewers who not only enjoy shopping with us but love to share stories with us.

Meet Samantha Antoine. This lovely lady is a big fan of QVC and I’m really looking forward to having a good chat with her on Saturday the 26th in my 2pm Liz Earle show. Tune in to find out what she thinks about the range and why she got in touch to share her story. Remember that you can share your stories with us, too, and you may be invited to share with the nation, live on air. Get in touch with us here.

I hope you’re having a fabulous February so far. Nice to see signs of spring here and there. I am always happy when I see those beautiful daffodils poking their pretty heads up!

Soon we’ll be preparing our gardens for warmer weather. Part of those preparations may be to start cleaning up your paving and driveways. QVC have a great offer on the 27th from Wolf in the form of a pressure washer at a Today’s Special Value price! I’m interested already as my patio and driveway need some attention, but I’m also thinking it’ll be perfect for washing my car. The weather is a bit tipsy turvy before summer comes along, so whether you’re a cyclist, driver or pedestrian, you’re likely to encounter some mud.

I like the idea of having a pressure washer to hand to make light work of cleaning bicycles and boots, as well as garden furniture. When I think of how much I spend just having my car cleaned by someone else with a pressure washer, I think this thing could pay for itself in no time! Definitely one to watch out for.

Another one to watch out for is our Women With Control Today’s Special Value trousers, which will be featuring from 9pm tonight until midnight on Thursday at a super price. If you’ve yet to try the brand, why not give these a go? They’re practical, versatile and, best of all, oh-so flattering! As the brand’s founder, Renee Greentsein, says, “no wiggle, no jiggle!” They give me the feeling of having more toned legs, bum and tum as they hold you so well.

Well, I’d better skedaddle (what a great word) for now, but I hope you’re well and I look forward to sharing some great shows with you this February.

Hello everyone! We made it through January! Gosh, that can be a rather damp squib of a month after Christmas but this year it was rather lovely and very busy. I really enjoyed our fabulous Beauty Weekend last Saturday and Sunday. We packed the weekend full of exciting goodies which I hope you enjoyed as much as we did! I’d love to hear what your highlights were if you were tuned in.

As I think I mentioned in my last blog my unofficial new years resolution was to spend more time with people I love. So far, so good! Last time I shared how I’d spent some time catching up with Tom Ogden. Last week my best friend of nearly 30 years, Mandy, and I shared a lovely day and evening together.

Living so close to London we are spoilt for choice of things to do yet rarely take full advantage of that luxury. We decided to take a trip to Camden for a nice, long lunch followed by a visit to Camden’s Roundhouse to see the utterly amazing Kingdom Choir. If you’re wondering why the name sounds familiar they are the choir who sang at Harry & Meghan’s wedding! I thought that was a truly magical moment. So uplifting and cheery!

One of my friends, Gershom Brown, is a member of the choir. We have been friends on Instagram for a few years now. He keeps me up to date with their tours and I update him on my daughter, Chrissie, as she is a singer and musician, too. This was the first time we met in person and I must say he is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.

Karen Gibson MBE is the choir’s conductor and founder. After the Royal wedding performance she was described as ‘Britain’s Godmother of Gospel’. What a woman. Truly inspirational with so much heart and talent. If you ever get the chance to see them live you will be in for a real feelgood treat. We had a magical evening which rounded off our day out together perfectly. I wore my longline Helene Berman coat and got lots of compliments, which also made me feel happy!

It’s great when you can combine style with warmth. In fact, MarlaWynne has a fabulous jumper coming up as a Today’s Special Value on the 4th which will be perfect for transitioning from winter to spring in chic style! I’ll be on air at 5pm on Friday with the lovely Melissa Hardy so, if it hasn’t sold out by then, we’ll be showing it to you with lots of other great WynneLayers pieces. Unusually, for Marla, it’s in a rather striking striped design that’s absolutely timeless.

Finally, if you haven’t heard yet, we have a special code you can use for the whole of February on our Cozee Home range! Entering COZE3Z at the checkout will allow you three Easy Payments so that you can be cosied up as we head into what is usually the coldest month of the year. Anything to stop us turning up the thermostats when we don’t need to!

On that same theme, actually, I recently invested in another Dyson AM09 Hot & Cool fan as it’s far more economical than turning up the heat in the house. It’ll also be useful in the summer when we need to cool down. A considered purchase but a great investment which means I don’t have to keep moving my original one from room to room.

Here’s wishing you a fabulous February, my friends!

Love Catherine xx

It’s funny, this time of year can often be my least favourite because Christmas feels like a lifetime ago and spring still seems so far away. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a glass-half-full kinda gal who always looks for the silver linings, even when faced with the most challenging situations, but it’s not called the ‘bleak midwinter’ for nothing.

I haven’t made any New Year’s resolutions as such, but I do appear to have adopted an unofficial one, and that’s to spend a little more time enjoying the people in my life. Many of my dearest friends were made here at QVC. When I say it’s like a family I really do mean it. Pipa and I were chatting yesterday and we were saying how true that is. Many of us have grown up together in a way. We’ve been through the good and bad times together just like family, and there is a real sense of belonging to something very special.

Tom Ogden, who many of you will know and love for his passion and knowledge of beauty, spent several years with us at QVC with Alpha H. That chapter drew to a natural close not long after the very sad passing of his dear friend and founder of Alpha-H, Michelle Doherty. I was honoured to share Tom’s final Alpha-H show with him, which was bittersweet, as we were sad to see him leave, but also happy, to see him embark on his next adventures. We spent a wonderful afternoon together at The Ivy in leafy Richmond the other day. We laughed, talked about times gone by and discussed our pusscats (if you didn’t know, Tom has two sweetheart Ragdoll boys… you can find him on Instagram here. )

These days I much prefer an afternoon out than crazy late nightery. It was a perfect, long, lingering lunch. So great to catch up with Tom. He’s been a very busy boy – always working hard – and he sends his love to you all by the way. You’re a vital part of this family, too. Don’t ever forget that, we love you!

Prove it, you say? Ok, we say! With some help from Gatineau we have a brilliant Today’s Special Value offer for you this week. We are going to knock your little winter socks off with astounding value! Featuring a 50ml size of customer-favourite Melatogenine Cream worth £89.00 alone, the entire collection would cost a whopping £253 if bought direct. As 2022 is Gatineau’s 90th year milestone, they’re giving us incredible value as you’ll get the whole set for less than you’d pay for the Melatogenine Cream!

Gatineau’s powerful formulations combine natural ingredients with cutting-edge biotechnology to create a range of professional-quality skincare which helps deliver immediate and long-lasting results.

Is there a better way to celebrate Gatineau’s 90th year than with a fantastic start-to-finish routine? Not in our eyes! This four-piece collection has everything you need, a cleanser, a serum, eye cream, moisturiser, to help target the early signs of ageing… that’s your whole routine! Of course you can also mix these fab formulas with your existing faves or start a whole new regime, either way we’re sure you’re going to love these top picks from Gatineau’s lauded Melatogenine MorphoBiotique range.

Powered by science – formulated to help reduce the early visible signs of ageing, Gatineau’s superb Melatogenine MorphoBiotique range combines Melatogenine with special MorphoTriPeptide technologies, plus great burdock root and chestnut seed extract, and works to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while leaving skin feeling more hydrated and looking more radiant.

Refresh your regime – looking to update your skincare stash for 2022? This collection includes everything you need for a comprehensive beauty revolution that’ll help leave your skin glowing. Not only is it a great way of trying new formulas or stocking up on firm favourites, but if “New Year, new skin” was on your resolutions list this year, this edit is the perfect way to breathe new life into your beauty rituals.

Here’s what’s in the set:

I’m looking forward to airing this live in my ‘Beauty Loves with Gatineau’ show this Thursday at 3pm. Oooh, I nearly forgot to mention, there’s an Auto Delivery option too which means you can get this remarkable saving all over again in 90 days! If that’s not showing you Gatineau fans love, I don’t know what is.

I like to share with you when I try new products I love. Launching at the end of the month is a brand called Sea Magik. I tried their bath salts and shampoo & conditioner. Wow, what a lovely range and the scents in the hair products are divine. They reminded me of having a spa massage, they’re that sophisticated! I just thought I’d give you a heads up ahead of the launch. Definitely a brand to watch out for.

I hope you are enjoying your 2022 so far. Have you made any resolutions? If so, I hope they’re going well for you. Please share them in the comments below. I may not always get time to reply but I do love hearing what you have to say.

Lots of love and gratitude for your kind support,

Catherine xx

The most unimaginative blog title award goes to… meeeee! Still, I wish you and yours as happy and healthy a new year as possible.

I do enjoy the natural progression of the festive season from the build up to Christmas, the little bit of no man’s land in between December 25th and 31st to the promise of a fresh, new unwritten year ahead.

My return to QVC, after my considerable absence, got off to a bit of a false start. I had only just returned when I awoke one morning with a very sore throat so I took a test and, yep, I got a positive result just in time for Christmas! Fortunately, it wasn’t too serious. Just some unpleasant flu like symptoms. It did mean however that Christmas at Chez Huntley had to be postponed by a couple of days. I feel it was a very small compromise to ensure the safety of my family and others that had planned to visit.

Although we had a delayed Christmas it was a wonderful one. We did all the usual things we normally would. Christmas movies, board games, lovely food and, for some reason this year, an inordinate amount of hot chocolate! We actually had such a good time that we didn’t manage to get many photos. I got a couple but I look horrendously scruffy in my PJs, so I think I’ll keep them for the private family album!

Prior to Covid scuppering my Christmas plans, I was able to have a lovely night out with some of my QVC friends. James Murden organised the event for us all.

We met up in London for some festive cheer which included taking in the beautiful sights of Carnaby Street, followed by a trip to ‘Pantoland’ at The London Palladium.

Julian Clary, Donny Osmond and Nigel Havers totally stole the show. We laughed so much and it was just what we all needed, truly a night to remember. I think we’ll try to make it an annual tradition from now on.

We are so lucky to work with people who are more like family than colleagues. We don’t often get the chance for a catch-up outside of work, so well done to James for rallying us all together.

Most people I know are either in the Christmas or New Year camp. I’m team Christmas all the way, so my New Year was extremely quiet. I was fast asleep by 10pm! I think it was due, in part, to post Covid fatigue. I was utterly exhausted for a few days and I’m still not quite feeling up to my usual energy levels, but I’m getting plenty of rest and sleeping in. I feel a bit like a hibernating bear. I’ve never slept so well in my life!

One lady who always seems to have boundless energy is Dannii Minogue. She’s always busy and often having a good old boogie over on her Instagram account. I’m thrilled to be on air with her next Wednesday, January 12th. If you fancy joining us for some new year positive vibes, we’ll be over on QVC Style at 5pm.

I’d like to say another thank thank you for all the love and kindness you’ve shown me both here and on my social channels. I don’t get time to reply to each and every comment, but I do read as much as I possibly can. Please forgive me if I sometimes miss some, though. With there being only one of me it just isn’t possible to keep up with everything. You’ve no idea how much I appreciate you and your care. You warm my heart no end.

One last thing before I sign off… don’t forget that our great winter sale continues with some fantastic offers. Even better, you can take a further 15% off the sale prices by entering the code SALE15 at the checkout! How fabulous is that?

Remember, you can always follow me on my social channels if you like. I’m mostly active on Instagram these days, but I try to keep an eye on my other accounts as much as I can, too.

Lots of love to you and yours. Here’s to a wonderful 2022!

Hello and season’s greetings to you!

As the song goes, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year”. I know we are all different and not everyone loves Christmas, but it’s my favourite and always has been. This year it’s even more special to me because, after an extended period of time off due to personal reasons, it’s the season in which I’m returning to my beloved QVC!

I have been absolutely flabbergasted by the amount of love I’ve been showered with from so many people. My work friends are family to me and they’ve been utterly wonderful. On social media, I’ve had more messages and comments than I will ever be able to reply to individually from hundreds of dear, kind souls. My heart is full of gratitude for every single one. Thank you with all my heart. Thank you.

I’m typing this from my dressing room, reluctant to leave the building as I’m still on such a high after my first live show since my return. It was a real treat of a show. A whole hour of Molton Brown goodies with fabulous Jemma Forte. I mean, what could be more festive and lovely?

I am suffering from ditherer’s regret! I wish I’d bought the Today’s Special Value offer before our show, because it sold out in our hour. I even kept checking back in case anyone didn’t confirm their order but, alas, it wasn’t meant to be this time. It was a fantastic offer. I’ll be first in the queue the next time I see a Molton Brown offer like that!

In addition to being given such a joyous first show back, I had the added delight of it being National Christmas Jumper Day. You don’t have to ask me twice! If you’ve read my blogs or follow me on social media, you’ll have heard me mention our presenter stylist, Stine. I affectionately call Stine ‘my’ stylist. I don’t know what I ever did without her. She is great at getting to know each of us presenters and finding the perfect outfits to complement our personal style. She selected some beautiful pieces to add to my winter wardrobe.

Before coming in to work, I’d briefed her on my changing shape. There’s currently a whole lot more of me to love than ever before, so I wanted something which would bolster my confidence. Of course, like a magical fairy godmother, Stine delivered!

I always look forward to Joules’ doggy jumpers. They seem to have different ones each year, and this one is my favourite to date. Adorable! It takes a lot to out-sparkle Jemma Forte. She has a plethora of sequinned beauties in her wardrobe but I gave her a run for her money in this dazzling skirt by Michele Hope. Best of all its nice and stretchy, so it’ll flex with me if I lose or gain a few pounds.

Enough about me, lets talk about the real stars of my blog. The cats of Chez Huntley! Lots of people have written to say they’ve been missing all the kitty pics so here you go. The boys have really grown since I last blogged, especially Bowie. He’s over 7kg now and soooooo long! He loves to stretch out like a yardstick on my Cozee Home rug. Popsie, my sweet little senior girl, is so sweet. She sleeps most of the day (and night) away and occasionally chases a toy, but only for about a minute or two and then she decides that’s enough exercise and sleeps some more.

She’s always been that way though, so I’m not sure it can be attributed to her advancing years. Now Ziggy, he’s the complete opposite. He’s a livewire, always alert and chasing this, that or the other thing here and there. They each have their funny little qualities. Completely individual, each one.

I don’t know about you, but my Christmas tree and decorations went up in November. I think the boys thought it was a new toy, just for them! I’ve been feeling very festive. Michael Buble and Mariah Carey Christmas songs on repeat, Christmas movies on the TV, Christmas cupcake making, present wrapping and writing of Christmas cards have all made me feel very jolly. I’m almost all sorted now, but I do keep getting tempted by QVC.

If you’ve yet to get all your Christmas preparations done, there’s still time to shop with us at QVC. I love our 60 day money-back guarantee. You can buy now, gift at Christmas, let the recipients use and try their presents, and if they need to be returned, you’ve got all that wiggle room to do so.

I’m looking forward to the weekend with you. At 3pm on Saturday I’ll be joined by the Queen of all things feet, Margaret Dabbs for an hour entitled, “Margaret Dabbs Fabulous Feet and Hands”. At 6pm we will feature Today’s Top Tech Gifts, maybe something for yourself this Christmas? On Sunday at 2pm it’s all about the sparkle with 60 minutes of Diamonique gifts. Perhaps a good opportunity for some more self-purchasing to dazzle on New Year’s Eve? Speaking of glamming up, at 4pm celebrity make-up artist Gary Cockerill and I will be showcasing Gary’s glamourous make-up range. It’s my first show with Gary and I can’t wait!

Until then, my lovely friends, I wish you a very merry Christmas and I thank you again for your continued support and love, as ever. You really are the best.

All my love,

Catherine xx

Hi, I hope you’re well and not too cold and soggy. Spring has been a bit of a washout so far where I live. I’m sure the gardeners among us, like my mum, will be happy for the extra watering the plants are getting, but I’m ready for sunshine!

Springtime is often when we think about having a good old spring clean and get set for summer. Well, that’s just what Anne Dawson and I have done with our dressing room at QVC. We share but we’re not often in at the same time, although we do leave little notes for each other. Mine usually apologise for the mess and hers tell me not to be so silly.  Anne’s a great dressing room buddy, and we’re paired perfectly to share as we’re both quite laid back. Plus, she’s just a lovely person who I get on really well with.

Our presenter stylist, Stine, has been helping us go through our wardrobes to have a good clear out. If you don’t yet follow her on Instagram, she is @stinestylistqvc, and she often posts behind-the-scenes photos and videos. She’s been so encouraging to me about embracing my shape and finding my own style. I’ll write more about that in a future blog, as we’ve been working on something together that’s been great fun. I couldn’t adore her more if I tried. It maybe helps that she’s a cat lover – like me!

One thing we both laugh about is how many cat hairs I have on my clothes! With three cats in the house, their telltale hairs often travel with me to work and find their way onto pieces of clothing in my wardrobe. Now that spring is in the air, Popsie in particular, is shedding little fluffy floofs wherever she goes!

Cozee Home rug, Skechers slippers, Cuddle Duds pyjamas

Lucky for me, I’ve been trying out the latest Today’s Special Value offer from Dyson, which will feature all day this Saturday at an incredible price. If you have pets you’ll love it, but it’s also certified asthma and allergy friendly, so it comes at just the right time of year for those of us who suffer.

This machine is brilliant! It has an even bigger bin than previous models, so it’s great for doing those big spring cleans and it has up to 60 minutes of run time with no loss of suction. Again, ideal for getting it all done without having to wait for recharging!

I like that it has a LCD screen display so you can monitor runtime and performance. With my own Dyson cordless vacuum (which by the way, I love), I just have to estimate how much time I have left before it runs out, so this is a great feature. One thing I’ve always loved about these cordless Dyson vacuums is how quickly you can turn them into a handheld vac for nipping out to clean the car or doing the sofas.

I’ve really enjoyed giving this model a road test, and I’d encourage you to give it a try as you have your 60 days to decide if it’s right for you, or if you want to return it and get your money back. Personally, I think it’s game-changing, and I love the extra runtime and the bigger dust bin.

Speaking of great offers, we now have a new section on the website where you get a second chance to get a hold of some of our previous Today’s Special Value offers and Big Deals! You can find it here. I do love a good deal!

Now, I want to tell you about something very special to me. Many of you know that my beloved Pixiecat went for her final catnap back in August. She is buried in our garden, which has been a source of comfort to us, as we feel she is never too far away.

Once I had accepted Pixie’s terminal cancer diagnosis, I decided to plan for how we would say goodbye. It may sound odd, but I’m so glad we did, as she had the most beautiful, peaceful passing in our garden surrounded by love. You can read more about that time by looking back through my blogs. It may be helpful to you if you’re in a similar position.

One thing I knew I wanted was a sculpture to mark Pixiecat’s final resting place. I began searching, and I put it out there on my social media for artist recommendations. I had a heartwarming response from so many people, but there was one which instantly stood out for me. A lovely lady called Mel said her husband created just the type of thing I was looking for. He had started with a tribute piece in memory of one of their own cats.

The artist is Peter Close. He and his wife are such kind people. As Peter knows the pain of losing a furry family member, he is incredibly sensitive and considerate of how his clients are feeling throughout the process of creating the artwork. I sent several photos and Peter kept me informed all the way so I could approve before he moved to the next stage.

I will be placing her in the garden soon. It may sound strange, but I want to wait until the warmer weather comes and the butterflies are fluttering about again, the ones she loved chasing around so much in the garden.

So much work and care went into creating the perfect memorial piece for my sweet angel. I knew you’d appreciate seeing this special work of art. It was money well spent for an investment in a bespoke sculpture which means the world to our family. Peter specialises in pets, but his talents extend much further. You can check out Peter’s Instagram, as well as his own website which tells you more about him and his work.

When I finally place the piece in the garden, I’ll post some more images of the start-to-finish process on my social media. Be sure to follow if you’d like to see those.

I hope you are staying safe and well. Thank you, as ever, for stopping by and having a little read.

Lots of love,

Catherine xx
